Liam thought to himself, “What a tender young creature. What a nice plump mouthful, she will be better to eat than the old woman. I must act craftily, so I can catch them both.”
He strolled for a short time next to Little Red Riding Hood before starting, “look how pretty the flowers are here. Take your time and smell the flowers. Taste the freedom of the woods and feel free. Why don’t you look around? Listen to the sweet song the little birds are singing. You’re walking gravely along as if you’re going to school, while everything else in the woods is happy.” Liam watched as Little Red Riding raised her eyes and took in her surroundings. She ran from the path into the woods to look for flowers. Liam raced straight to his grandmother’s dwelling and knocked on the wooden door. He put his ear to the door but didn’t hear a thing. Just like Little Red Riding Hood had said, he could smell the hazelnuts and he licked his lips knowing he was about to have a tasty meal. He felt a little bad at the idea of eating the innocent grandmother but he would die from starvation if he didn’t.
“Who is there?” a voice called.
“Little Red Riding Hood,” replied Liam. “She is bringing cake and wine. Open the door.”
“Lift the latch,” called out grandmother, “I am too weak, and can’t get up.”
Liam lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word, went straight to the grandmother’s bed and devoured her. He put on her comfortable clothes, dressed himself in her pink cap, laid himself
