Thank you for helping me to apply to Cornell University for Summer College. Also, if you didn’t write the essays for me then I wouldn’t get accepted there, so overall without your help, I am nothing. As well, I want to share some of my experience with you. I really had a great time there and I extremely loved it. All of the people are really nice and I made many friends in only three weeks than I made it in 3 years in ASA. Also, I made some close friends who really care about me. One day, I had headaches very much. So, I couldn’t do anything. However, three of my friends (Girls) stayed with me for two hours and then I realized that we have homework, so, I pretended to be alright and forced them to get out of my room because I want them to …show more content…
Anyway, we had to wait for the master key for 50 minutes at midnight. Furthermore, from that accident, I learned to be more responsible and never forgot to take the key along with me whenever I get out. Furthermore, I loved my professor and I learned many new staff from his lecture. Also, he was kind of hilarious and he’s one of the oldest professor in Cornell. He’s 78 years old with long time experience. He’s been working for 43 years in Cornell, before he worked in Harvard and Duke Universities. I also learned how to preserve myself when I get more than hundred pages to read, which I never got in my school, so, this is a totally new experience. Finally, I also learned that everyone have to be responsible for their homework in College, however the professor doesn’t care if you do your homework or don’t. So, it’s your responsibility to finish your homework, no matter what time you’re sleeping at because it’s your home work and that means it’s your accountability. I also loved my TA because she was calm and quiet however she was really strict with the grading. Lastly, my expectations was way below than what I thought, I learned many things and experience new
I’m writing this letter to express my interest in becoming a Summer Student Admission Assistant. I will be a rising sophomore, originally from Vietnam, fluent in English and Vietnamese. I believe I’m qualified for this position due to my experience with admissions work and my passion for Georgetown University.
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become
I’m applying to UA Early College because I want to be able to step into college ahead of the game. I have been an overachiever since I was little and take each chance I get handed to me. This program additionally prepares me for courses I will take when in college. It gives a more profound understanding of how classes will be and the paces they will go at.
I am writing to express my interest in the biology teaching position at Bard High School Early College (BHSEC). I am currently holding a New York City initial certification in adolescent biology education as well as a Master degree in Biology. I have experience teaching at a high school as well as a college level. I believe that my experience and qualification is a great fit for this position.
I loved winter break, and of course I still do. When I was a kid, I couldn’t wait till christmas. I never liked new year resolutions, because I think it was a waste of time and I still don’t like new year's resolutions. There are so many great things about christmas. I even learn some new songs on my guitar early before christmas. Over winter break, I look forward to christmas, new years, and my family.
When I was a senior in high school I was accepted to Penn State and a few other schools, and was really pleased with how I had done at the end of my four years at my school, Council Rock North. But after a few weeks of investigating the potential costs and realizing that my savings would not be able to cover the costs of attending a 4 year school without putting my family and myself in a lot of debt, I realized that I could instead go to the local community college. I really liked this option because it allowed me to explore many of my passions for Computer Science without making a huge investment and locking myself into a certain path. Having now spent the last 2 years at Bucks County Community College, I've really deepened my passion for
As a young child, I had the opportunity to move from Brasil to America. Although it was a challenge, I overcame many obstacles that allowed me to grow as a person. The language barrier was difficult, but with dedication, I was the first to graduate out of my English as a Second Language class. I grew a strong bond with other Hispanics throughout that time, which further helped form a passion to help Hispanic countries through Hugs 2 Honduras, a club that focuses on fundraising to help communities in Honduras. Along with Hugs 2 Honduras, I participated in the fundraising process for Westfield’s first Dance Marathon. After raising some money for the event, I took a leading position with some other senior girls in a program called Kind Campaign. This program was created to bring awareness to girl-on-girl bullying, and the senior girls led the freshman

There have been many factors that have contributed to me being a freshman at Umass this year. They ranged from my grades to the influences from people around me. Now that I made a list about different contexts I can now see how everything might be connected. The overlaying things that had the a real effect on my outcome as a now freshman at Umass Amherst. The contexts that I layed out for myself gave me a better understanding of what some of the specifics were. Two points that stood out to me was my education and Nationality. Being a college freshman at Umass is due largely to how both of these contexts interacted with each other. Having a solid educational foundation is important to get into any college. I was lucky enough to grow up in a
Technology has always been my passion and one could even find me deconstructing and attempting to reconstruct various household technologies as a young kid. However it was hard to continue this passion in school due to the fact that my school greatly lacks in the technology classes such as engineering, computer science, or leadership. So to learn many of these skills, I either taught myself or learned through extracurricular activities. One of these extracurricular activities was First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition, where my team, an all-girls Girl Scout team, and I designed, coded, and built a robot to compete and alliance with other robots to score the greatest amount of points. I taught myself the skills of CAD with PTC Cero, 3D printing with Cubify, Sketchup and Makerbot software, worked with the new Android SDK, and all of the nuances of RobotC, our old language, to help my team reach our goal of competing at Worlds. I am also member of Girl Scouts. In Girl Scouts, we helped our community and found our own voices in the world around us through leadership. Last year, I completed my Gold Award on informing the teens of my community the benefits of healthy living through
I would like to attend Pratt Institute’s Summer Pre-College course to experience what it is like living on a college campus while learning important art skills that can benefit me as I pursue my career in Graphic Design. My love of art all started when I was in kindergarten. The first art project I remember was a paper collage of a winter landscape, with penguins drawn on top. What I enjoyed the most about this project was adding little white dots as snowflakes. My art teacher Karla gave each of us a Q-Tip and a small cup of bleach. I made sure to perfectly place each dot in the right place. When all of our drawings were donem, my teacher laminated and hung them in the hallway. I was so proud of what I created. Ever since that project I was hooked on creating art. Quickly it became one of my favorite pass times. By going to Pratt Institute’s Summer Pre-College course I wish to recapture the joy I felt when finishing my first art piece. As well as be surrounded by young men and women who understand the beauty that comes along in any creation of art.
Stating all the reasons as to why I am interested in the summer program seems almost impossible. I recently heard about this incredible opportunity from a peer who shares some common career interests. As soon as she mentioned the procedure on how to apply, I was ecstatic to start meeting all the necessary requirements. Being blessed with the news of being accepted into the Junior Volunteer Program will truly open many doors for me.
All of my life, I have wanted to be a doctor, and the summer program offered by Wagner College is the perfect way for me to spend a portion of my summer. I am the youngest of three children, and my mother is divorced and has been raising us on her own for many years. My mom has always encouraged each of us to aim high and dream big, and that’s exactly what I have done. I have enjoyed science and math classes the most compared to other subjects and have excelled in both subjects as far back as I can remember. Currently, I am taking Honors Chemistry and advanced math, and I have really enjoyed both classes this year because the content is interesting and complex.
Fortunately, my diligent work ethic in high school has granted me admission into the college of my dreams, tuition free. Although I am relieved when I consider the lessened burden of college expenses, I still realize that I will face an overwhelming bill for room and board and many other college costs. I plan to work part-time this summer in order to finance part of my education on my own. I hope to cover as many fees as possible in order to minimize the burden that will fall on my parents.
My high school days have been spent at a STEM focused school, where I have worked to get my associate's degree alongside my high school diploma. I've worked my hardest to succeed, often resulting in a loss of sleep, and having to give up many extra curricular activities. Through these years I've learned that my passions are encompassed mainly in fine arts. Music is a big part of my life and is a passion of mine. I have been learning the piano since I was little and later added violin to the mix. I found my passion for musical theater a couple years later, and began to immerse myself in the various aspects of it. Art,
