Six years ago, my family and I went to Turner Falls Park in Davis, Oklahoma. We arrived at the park early in the morning and got ready to go swimming. I went to the restroom and got changed. When we were ready, we left to go swimming we walked on a bridge to get to the swimming area, there was a huge waterfall and we went swimming under it. After that we went to another swimming area that had two big slides, we swam there for about and hour then went to our camping area to eat. The next day we went hiking on trails and also went to a castle that was made of stone. We spent the rest of the day swimming and looking around the park. It was a great experience and It would be great to go again. In this essay you will be reading about history, a physical description

Starved Rock Park is a beautiful, marvel that lies along the Illinois River just 90 miles West of Chicago. The park was named after a battle that took place in 1760 that involved the Ottawa Indian tribe. When the battle broke out among opposing tribes the Ottawa Indians were forced to take refuge on a giant rock. Several days after the battle, the tribe began to run out of resources and eventually starved to death, giving the rock and the park its name. The rich history of the area began in 8000 BC when the Archaic tribe first settled there. From then on tribes such as the Woodland, Hopewellian, and Mississippi have also inhabited the area. After the 1760 battle, however, Indian activity at Starved Rock Park declined leaving the area

Dams are created by humans and dams disrupt wildlife, therefore humans disrupt wildlife. California, being a state with dams, has rivers and chaotic nature running through itself. One of the mains rivers in California is the San Joaquin, is a dammed river and its damnation has led to many downfalls in nature. Bill McEwen and Daniel Wientraub have observed the river and it’s stats, and with the upcoming restoration plan, the two obviously have expectations on how the plan will affect the river. They expect salmon populations to rise, or at least be stable, positive effects on the recreation and the economical reign to expand.

When I look back on my life, I remember going to Sidecut Metropark as a kid, I enjoyed the natural atmosphere, relaxing, a hidden garden ready for exploration. After I came back to America, I started to exercise at sidecut, being in the park, made me remember my childhood experience there. These pleasant memories steer me to look for a career at the Metroparks. That’s why, I was pleased to find that the Metropark was looking to fill the position of Park Service Ranger (Job Code:2017:OPS-004).
