Future Career Paper The career I have chosen to pursue in the future is a surgeon. A surgeon is a physician who performs surgical operations. They are who cut the human body for the purpose of removing diseased tissue or organs, to repair body systems, or to replace diseased organs with transplants. Surgeons may be physicians, dentists, podiatrists, and veterinarians. Surgeons can be general surgeons and perform all types of surgery, or they can be specialized, such as heart surgeons or brain surgeons. I plan to specialize in heart surgery or as its also known cardiothoracic surgeon. A cardiothoracic surgeon is a medical doctor who specializes in surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest. This includes surgeons who can be called cardiac surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, general thoracic surgeons, and congenital heart surgeons. …show more content…
Cardiac surgeons must graduate from high school, complete four years of college, four years of medical school, a 5-year general surgery residency and a 2-3 year specialized cardio or cardiothoracic fellowship. Surgeons who wish to specialize further in pediatric cardiology or heart transplant surgeries may require additional training. All cardiac surgeons must be certified in surgery by the American Board of Medical Specialists before seeking further certification for cardiothoracic surgery. Cardiothoracic surgeons need to obtain a state license. To get a license one must attend an accredited medical school, complete a residency, and pass the U.S Medical Licensing Examination or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing
I have always wanted to enter the medical field but I wasn’t for sure on what I wanted to go in for. I was stuck between choosing medical assisting and medical billing and coding. I choose medical billing and coding because there are so many job opportunities you can receive while working in this field. I am very excited about learning the different codes that are used in the medical field. After I graduate and pass the certification exam I see myself working in a hospital setting or
The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum
To be a Cardiovascular Perfusionist you need at least a Bachelor’s Degree, 3 credit hours of Anatomy or Physiology, General Biology, General Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biochemistry or Microbiology, one credit hour or more of Medical Terminology, and a cumulative and science GPA of at least a 3.0. Neurology automatically requires a lot of schooling, medical doctorate, Bachelor’s Degree, completion of a medical school program, internship, and a residency, and passing of the Medical Licensing Exam. Real estate agents must be at least 18 years of age, a legal us resident, high school diploma and have passed the real estate license exam. With all these careers education is important but common sense is required as well because the clients are dependent upon their chosen specialist to get them through related situations safely and
For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. These interests were most likely brought to life from my desire to want to help people and learn more about the human body. The experiences I’ve had throughout my life have brought me closer to the belief that I can one day make a difference in the world through medicine. All though I am not completely decided on what I would like my future career to be, I have been able to narrow my options down to a few of the many choices available.
I am a senior at Udall High School. I am involved in many activities including: Volleyball, Softball, Student Council, Yearbook, FBLA, and Forensics. I am the youngest of six siblings in which three others also graduated from Udall. I will attend a four or two year college my first years, and then to attend Oklahoma University where I will begin medical school.
I am choosing a career where I literally have a person’s life in my hands. Asahq states that an Anesthesiologist is a doctor that is primarily responsible for the safety of patients before, during, and after surgery. They place patients in a state of controlled unconsciousness and give sedation to relieve pain or anxiety. I always wanted to work in the medical field, and keeping people out of pain is something I want to do.
After I graduated high school, I plan to be in college for 8 to 10 years. I probably will be in undergraduate school for 4 years, and be in medical school for 4 years. I will also have to be in internship and residency programs for 3 to 8 years. Then I will have to pass a test so I can get my licenses.
Many people will tell you that the person who inspired them the most was a teacher. They inspire us and prepare students for a higher level of education. They teach planned lessons and the needed skills students will need in the future when they attend college and when they seek employment. High school teachers will see various different classes throughout the day and may teach different grade levels and different types of classes that pertain to their level of specialty (Echaore-McDavid). Though no matter what or who they are teaching, their goal is the same, success for the students. Teachers assess the students in their classes to determine their strengths and weaknesses of the given material (Bureau). The parents of the students and the teachers also have a level of communication outside of the classroom (Bureau). Teachers communicate with the parents to assess the level of success the student has and to work with the parents to help the student . There are two types of ways that a teacher may choose to instruct the class. These are didactic teacher or evocative teaching. Didactic teaching is teaching through demonstrations or lectures (Ed). Evocative teaching is instructing the students through aid and focusing on the students discussions to teach a new topic (Ed). Everything a
Therefore, a career path that interest me is in Medical field but there’s so many too choose. My main goal is to go into Medical Coding then work my way up to work in a Sterile Hospital Compounding. In which, I can work both jobs at the same time when there is a short number of worker at the time. In addition, my ability is to help people directly and make them a happier person providing their health in a good condition. This field may not be easy or a simple job in some case, but a job with a lot of sacrifices and personal investment can do just fine.

In the healthcare field there are a multiple amount of professions. These professions vary greatly in duties, requirements, salary and more. One of these many health professions, anesthesiologists, will be reviewed over the educational status required for the position, the profession’s role and function in society, and the workforce trends.
In the future, I am striving to become a Physician's Assistant in cardiology or neurology for neonatal/pediatric care. I want to first become an RN and have a background in nursing. I’ve wanted to be in the medical field since 8th grade. It is a lot work as I am a CNA and worked in a nursing home. I can’t wait until I am working with patients watching them grow and get better. I’ve always been interesting in the heart. It is an interesting muscle that we know is there, but don’t think too much about. I also want to get married and have children who I can love and care
Also i would need technical skills. In the article “What Is Career Ready?” the author states, “ technical skills are required for licensure in many professions, such as in most health care fields”. This shows that i will need to attain these medical skills before I am on the job although many jobs have on-the-job training it is better to have the medical based skills in advanced on top of the years of schooling I will have to go
Lastly, I also researched the possibilities of future advancements in this career field. In order to do this I simply went to the next person in the operating room. This would be the surgical assistant. In order to meet the requirements for this position I would need at least three years of experience in surgery or a bachelor's degree in surgery as well as being certified by the National Board of Surgical Assisting or NBSTSA. This information I gathered from multiple job openings for this
I chose this article because when I grow up, I want to become a doctor. Most of the time, I choose to learn about the brain and central nervous system. Recently though, I’ve decided to start learning about other body systems to increase my understanding of medicine. I’ve been finding cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology an interesting specialty recently, especially after I did my report and presentation on Dr.
