A few years ago, I got a chance to see the performance Swan Lake by Imperial Russian Ballet and meanwhile it kindled my interest about ballet. As an art lover and piano player, I always want to work for an art institution like Goh Ballet, where is full of dreams, inspirations and passion. I appreciate that Goh Ballet helps young people to pursue their dreams and teaches them how to enjoy the arts. That is why I am applying for this job.

Perth is the capital city of Western Australia whose left is edged by the Indian Ocean shores. The city actually takes its place on the banks of the Swan River, a number of black swans reside here and so the name. The Swan Valley is a fun packed weekend spot where activities are there for your entire family. Simple budget Perth hotels are indeed available in the Swan Valley region to make your stay comfortable. Cruise the river and enjoy the views, where you would also be served with home-made hot chocolates, a variety of ice creams, natural wine and other traditional food items. Yeah, I said natural wine because you could find vineyards and wineries along the Swan Valley. Taste the sample wine and order for more in any of the cafes and restaurants in the valley region. If you are waiting for a thrill factor in your tour, you should try out white water rafting, paintball games and boating that could turn your holiday trips more interesting.

Parking in the main picnic area great field stretches out, and ends at the edge of a large lake. There is a light scattering of trees in the field but is quite open. The breeze whispering through the trees and the sun sparkling of the water of the lakes, makes for a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
As I reflect on my third semester at The University of Kentucky, I am reminded of how Ballet One, or TAD 142, has impacted me as a dancer. I have discovered my strengths and grown in my skill, as well as discovered areas that still need improvement.Initially, I found my interest in dance through my passion in the performing arts, specifically color guard. My interest in dance pushed me to enroll in two dance classes at my university, ballet one, as well as an additional course, introduction to dance. In the future I plan on furthering my dance education by pursuing a minor in dance, that could eventually effect my future job endeavors.
When I was three years old, I was exposed to the world of dance. Mostly, classical Ballet at the time, but I was soon to be emerged into the wonderful art form that is shared by so many all around the world. It is questioned as to how dance, specifically Ballet, is still relevant in this modern time. The simple reason is that it is loved by so many artists whom have passed that passion onto generations of students, who are eager to understand this complicated art form. I was lucky to be immersed into the dance world at such a young age; it is difficult for me to imagine a life without long rehearsals all leading up to a rewarding performance.
A staple in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s repertoire, Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake dazzles audiences every time it revisits. The classic tale continues to draw crowds one-hundred and twenty-three years after Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s original. On Thursday night of last week, McCaw Hall’s dazzling red curtain rose to give a sneak-peak of the dress rehearsal process.
Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary provides a great getaway from the noise and hassle of Victoria and the campus environment. We would love to take our group to this beautiful nature sanctuary. By joining our field trip to Swan Lake, the students will experience BC’s marvelous nature. Getting the students out of classroom will most definitely brighten their minds in the midst of long semester. The field trip would only have a small cost for our students, which is one of the many upsides of the excursion. During our semester in Victoria we are not scheduled any field trips so we feel that this would benefit the class very much. This class can make our learning environment more interactive and inviting. A field trip to the nature would give a memorable learning experience outside of the PowerPoint infused classes, which a lot of students are getting too used to. Having international students bonding and learning English will give them the opportunity to learn about new cultures, which is worth to consider. On a trip to Swan Lake students would talk with more students than just the ones they usually sit with in the classroom. Networking in an international business school is one of the key elements in our future careers. These are some of the many aspects we would like to offer our class with a field trip to Swan Lake.
Ballet, an expression of artistry, strength, and powerful messages, was a source of entertainment and an outlet for political leaders in the 20th century. Ballet has changed greatly throughout centuries, molding to the political system and shaping the way ballet is portrayed and used today. Much of the change that was made to ballet was during the Cold War in the Soviet regime. This paper researches based on the question: How was ballet greatly affected in Russia during the Cold War and the Soviet regime? The book “Like a Bomb Going Off” by Janice Ross is a very valuable source in researching on this question, relating the career of an artist and choreographer that had a very large impact on ballet during the Soviet era. With this biography, there was evidence to show how ballet was impacted during that time. This topic is relevant and important because the effect that the Cold War had on ballet changed the way ballet is used and interpreted today. The significant role classical ballet played within the Russian society during the Cold War contributed in changing its image and shatter some of its stereotypes. Previously viewed as an innocent, delicate and mostly feminine art form with mainly entertainment values, it became more militant during that period and established a stronger, more influential presence within the country’s political and cultural lives. Through this research I want to prove how this was done and how the world of the arts and the artists was impacted and
In this essay I will analyse and contextualise the work of 3 key practitioners who are currently active and influential within the classical ballet industry. I will discuss and develop key qualities of my three chosen practitioners and identify the main objectives that have allowed them to achieve their current high status within the industry. I will also identify, analyse and contextualise the main performance qualities of the key practitioners work and analyse ways in which I can incorporate these qualities into my own work. I will relate my studies of these 3 artists to my own chosen classical variation that I have chosen to perform. I will analyse and reflect on my own advanced understanding of my personal technical performance skills. I will use anatomical vocabulary and professional language when discussing and reflecting on my technical performance skills, translating from the barre to the stage with the use of stylistic knowledge and performance context.

In this paper I will describe my latest experience while watching the Oklahoma Festival Ballet. However, before starting this journey I feel that is necessary to give a brief description of what Ballet is, in order to understand the feelings that it carried through its existence.
Ballet helped to bridge a gap between social classes during a time when Russia was unstable both economically and socially. Prominence of the popular dance positively impacted the entire country through accelerating women’s prestige as well as forming a unity of culture across social boundaries. From the 17th century to today, Russian ballet is held to a very high esteem taken seriously by many involving high ranking performances, yet another side of the Russian ballet which was shaped by the lower class expresses a more creative, less serious dancing
