THE TASMANIAN TIGER (Thylacinus cynocephalus)

On April 25,1857 I Riley J Petersen found a species man has never seen before. I was off the coast of Australia, on an island called Tasmania. At first I thought I had stumbled across a pack of wild dogs, but as I got closer I realized that these are no dog.

Description

The species seems to be dog but it had the stripes of a tiger on its rear end. Picture a animal with the body of a large dog with a stiff rodent like tail. The head of a wolf, the pouch of a kangaroo, and black stripes like a tiger. This creature is about six feet long and seems vicious. I believe that this species is harmless when it first noticed me it just ran away like

a scared little girl. This creature has yellowish fur. I have named this species the Tasmanian Tiger or Thylacinus cynocephalus. The height of the Tasmanian Tiger is about 24 inches tall. The part about my discovery of this animal is that

The eucalyptus trees provide shelter and food for many animals in the eucalyptus forest habitat. One abiotic factors in the eucalyptus forest are the soil. The soil is a crucial part of this environment because without suitable soil the eucalyptus trees would not have enough nutrients to grow into giant healthy trees. Another abiotic factor in this environment is the logs and caves in the area.
