Technology Getting Efficient Technology affects our society significantly today. It has become an integral part in our life by bringing so much benefits and downsides. Technology improves the efficiency in education, becoming active learners, helps us connect with other people and more. Technology is a useful tool in in the classroom because it not only motivates students, but it also enhances their learning. When mentioning of how technology impacts our society, people tend to have different influences. Indeed, technology is beneficial to us, however at the same time it brings negative consequences being distracting and addictive. Smart phones can be a great use of source but could also damage many lives such as when having addictive behaviors in driving causing a result of death. For example gambling could be a source of addictive behavior, due to the fact of wanting to always turn on your screen and keep going. Technicians tend to be a problematic issue for many gamblers due to the issue that they are the ones whom created certain games in order to enjoy. If slot machines tend to break then gamblers tend to feel at a big loss and will blame technicians in order to gain success. Michael Saylor, author of "The Mobile Wave" and CEO of MicroStrategy, said he checks his phone for updates at least once a minute -- "I must look at it 500 times a day, or 1,000 times a day," he said. Almost nothing would make him put his phone down. "If I was with the queen of England and she was addressing me directly and it was a one-on-one conversation, then I would probably discipline myself to not look at my phone, so as to not show disrespect to her." When something turns out to be important in our lives then we tend to not look at out cell phone otherwise it is considered to be viewed as an addicting habit.
