Technology Is What Defines The World Today And Tomorrow

In todays society, technology is a source of communication that all humans fully depend upon. Phones are now microcomputers that could carry out any task as a traditional computer. Transportation is rapidly expanding, for example a multi-million dollar company by the name of Uber, is highly depended on smartphones devices. Entrepreneurs are doubling; The chances of having an online business from home is expanding. Marketing is now target upon Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat users around the globe. Technology and the internet is building todays political dilemmas, making easier for the people to express their believes and have their voice heard. It is without a doubt that technology is shaping todays society.

It seems odd to me to write a paper about the importance of technology in education. While there may still be skeptics within the field of education, I would imagine that most people would agree that a technology rich environment enhances a child's education at least to some degree. Even teachers who are reluctant to infuse technology into their lesson plans would have to see the merit of students using technology consistently in classrooms. In this week’s assignment, we will look at the subject of ethics and intellectual property. First, start off by looking at the basics of what intellectual property, and take a closer look at case that has involved these issues. Then we will discuss why it is important to protect intellectual property. Next we will look at how can intellectual property be protected? Then we will discuss if intellectual protections ever go “too far”? Finally what is the proper balance between content producers and the public good?

Intellectual Property (IP) is everywhere. IP is inventions. IP is literary and artistic works. IP is designs or symbols. IP is names and images used in commerce. Almost everything is IP. These things can be protected by patent, copyright, service mark, or trademark. These topics are very complicated; the consolidated version of US patent laws and rules is over 200 pages long. While there are many good things about IP protection, there are also many unnecessary problems with it that should be changed. Some of these problems include IP education, and the lack of it, the time frame that these protections span, and the major lack of solid international laws.

Technology is all around us, we can 't escape it and it is necessary in everyday life., almost everyone has a smartphone or an some electronic device. Technology is also necessary in school and work, students use the technology to do research, email their teacher, or submit work online. In offices or other workplaces the main source of everything is a computer, it is now important to have computer skills no matter where one works.

Intellectual Property (IP): signifies creations such as inventions, literary/artistic works, designs and symbols, names and images used in commerce. IP is protected in law, whereby companies or individuals can own patents, copyrights, and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. The US agency responsible for administering IP rights is the Department of Commerce US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and is responsible for issuing patents to inventors and businesses for their inventions, and trademark registrations.

As a society, it seems impossible to imagine a world without technology. It has become such a massive part of everyday life for a majority of people. Whether it is used for work, entertainment, social networking, or simply killing time, technology has continued to change, for better or worse, how things are accomplished.
