Do you know what wanting something really means? It is not just wanting a toy, or the food you want for dinner. It is something bigger than that. Teen activists are kids and teens who want very badly for the world’s problems to go away. To be a teen activist, you have to be many things, but most of all, you have to be a really great role model. You have to be brave, courageous, and most of all, determined. One of the reasons that teen activists are good role models is that they are brave. For example, according to scholastic, ” When Iqbal Masih was just 4 years old, his parents sold him into slavery to pay off a $12 debt.” After six years of working as a slave, he ran away from his “owner”, and spoke out against child labor. Iqbal’s words were so strong and he was so brave that he was killed because of his campaign. Iqbal is a great example of bravery and being a good role model. …show more content…
The final reason teen activists are good role models is that they are very courageous. For example, in 2002, when Alex Lin was only nine years old, he noticed that there was a lot of pollution outside of his house, so he wanted to put a stop to it. The pollution, he noticed, was because of electronic waste. All electronics have a heavy metal in them that can damage the outside world if they are burned. A few months/years after that happened, Alex formed a group to collect electronics and recycle them so they would not cause even more pollution. He was courageous, though, when him and his group (W.I.N) made a petition and went to get it signed. He succeeded, now he just needed to get the law to pass. It was vetoed the first time, but Alex would not ever give up. I think that Alex Lin is a great role model for kids and teens who want to make a
What qualities create a teen activist? Is it their utter devotion to their cause? Their sacrifice of personal time and possibly their safety? Or, is it the way that they will work long hours on weekends while others are relaxing or watching Tv? The answer is all of them. A teen activist is a young person who will fight for a cause for the better of the community/world. They often make many sacrifices and endanger themselves to others who disagree with their cause, yet they keep fighting. These teens are willing to do whatever it takes for the benefit of people in need, and that’s what makes them so admirable.
What is a teen activist? A teen activist is a teenager who wants to help people or animals for a cause. What I think about all teen activists is that they all fight for what they believe in. They go to extensive lengths to help people to help us. They don't do this because they have to they do it because they want to do it. They don't care that the odds were against them or they have very little chance of succeeding. They do what they want and the do it right. They are like the voice of the people fighting up against poverty and all the other struggles in the world. Most activists go through a lot like Malala but I won't get to deep into that yet. They all have the courage to do what they do.
Most teenage activists show similar character traits. Iqbal,Malala, and Alex lin all show character traits of braveness, uniqueness, and intelligence. You can also be a teenage activist by walking out the door and trying to make a
For example, an activist named Iqbal believed in education for kids. He gave speeches all over the world to show his beliefs on education rights. Many people got inspired to help his belief that everyone should have education rights. Another activist who gave speeches is Malala Yousafzai, to tell people that everybody(especially girls), should have education no matter his or her circumstances of life, genes, or religion. Her speeches inspired many people to help kids get education. “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”, she
Teen Activists have to have courage. An example of this is, Iqbal who was once a child laborer, speaks about his time in slavery. In the article, “How To Help”, Karen Fanning states, “His parents had sold him to pay off a $12 debt.” I don’t know about you readers, but quite frankly this makes me sick. Iqbal was just a 4 year old little boy when his parents had sold him. “For six years, the small boy spent most of his days crouched over a small
Around the world, many people are afraid to speak their minds. Teen activists inspire people. They are believers who want to change the world. They want to stand up for something that they believe in. What they do for people is very beneficial. They all have motivations for what they do. These teen activists all persevere and do all that they can to get their point out to the world. They all help people along with them selves. I noticed that they will never give up and they will try their hardest. For example, Malala was shot through the head with a bullet. Although that happened she didn't give up. Alex has been helping with the environment since he was in fifth grade. He probably went through some tough choices and difficulties,
Another example of a courageous teen activist is Jeromy Rodriguez . Jeromy Rodriguez is one of the many activists in this world, but unlike others, he was not the one that got bullied, it was his sister Vicky. As reported by, www.newsday.co.tt, Jeromy could not watch his sister get bullied so, he did many things about this. For example, he wrote a song
Teen activist fight for different causes. For example, Malala fights for education so girls can attend schools in swat valley. Malala does this because she believes girls should have a right to learn and become educated. Another example, is Alex Lin who fights for e waste-problems. Alex Lin concludes that we create toxic waste by throwing away are old electronics instead of reusing them to further educate and help under privileged people.
To start off, the first reason why all teen activists have different traits is that they are all optimistic. For example, Alex Lin is optimistic because he wants to make the world a better place. I know this is true because according to the article “Alex Lin Teen Activist” it said that he recycles computers around the U.S. Also another teen activist Faye Carey is optimistic
My last example of a teen activist is Malala Yousafzai, she stands up for women's freedom and women's education. According to ABC news Some challenges she faced was the Taliban, they would threaten her and eventually they shot her in the head. But that did not stop her. She was rushed to a hospital in England where she had surgery to remove the bullet from her head. After her recovery she started to speak out again about what happened to her and other girls at the hands of the Taliban. Imagine how brave she is, she got shot and still was strong enough to speaking out. But she was not alone. She got her inspiration from her Dad. He was a teacher who believed that if men are allowed to go to school then women should be allowed to go to school

In an article in the “Chronicle Herald”, Malala said, “I want to serve people. I want girls to be educated.”
