Many families are left devastated from losing their children to gang related killings. For example, Javon Reilly, a student who went to Van Horn High School was walking home and was shot. Tymon Reed and Javon had an issue because one of Javon’s friends stole some marijuana. When Javon was walking home Tymon happened to drive past him and pulled out a gun on him, Javon tried to wrestle the gun out of his hand and that’s when he was shot. After getting shot Javon attempted to limp away but Tymon shot him multiple times after that. When authorities arrived his friends were giving him CPR. He was rushed to the hospital and that’s where he died. Too many teenagers are involved with gang related or drug related stuff and sometimes it costs them their life.
Gang incitation’s and gun violence are highest among African American youth. One study reported that African-Americans, future and current gang members, are most likely to own a gun. Gang-related homicides increased with the use of firearms, gang activities becoming more violent to include drug-related activities. Many of these young kids are often striving for respect from there fellow gang members and rivals so they are the ones often comminuting the crimes. They want to pay their tribute to the OG (original gangster) the problem with this is that at such a young age they don’t know how to react to a certain situation so they try to resolve everything with gun

communities. Each juvenile will be assigned a Big and they will serve as a mentor, as someone the juvenile can turn to when they feel they have no one else. Both the juvenile and big will have a chance to create a bond with one another and provide support for one another.
The purpose of this paper is to review and verify a recent study by Scott H. Gang and gang violence has always been an ongoing problem within the country. Street gangs have evolved into some of the most notorious group associated with murders and killings that law enforcement agencies have encountered. Gang violence has become one of the most serious crime problem happening in the country that involves physical assaults, drive-by shootings, homicides, robberies, prostitutions, and home-invasion along with a long list of criminal activities. It had occurred and multiplied so fast in which it reach an all-time high epidemic of young gang people killed on the streets or entering into the juvenile and prison system throughout the country. Such death occurs on a daily basis especially in the inner cities that are
I remember a lot happening during middle and high school. Countless student deaths due to suicide, OD/drug use, drunk driving, homicide, illness, accidents... Plenty of bomb threats throughout as well as students bringing firearms on campus. These twin sisters that lived in my neighborhood, went to the same middle school, and rode the same bus as me were killed in a drive-by. There was plenty of gang-related violence. I also remember one, if not two female teachers at that school having had numerous sexual encounters with male students. The PE teacher had a porn collection on his on his office PC and would wank in there. Multiple teachers had been physically and verbally abusing the special needs students over a period of time until it was
I know this is false because the text states “This is partly because gangs intentionally recruit teenagers, but it's also because young people are very susceptible to peer pressure” . Gangs focus on teens mainly because they are very easy to manipulate and peer pressure, so it easier to make them join.
There are multiple gangs in big cities that kill people for pleasure. There are serial killers that might want to kill your child and there are just people want to hurt someone for no reason at all. The last thing that some parents might think their kids might do is get into gangs. Gangs terrorise the city that they are in killing people and parents don’t want their kids to get involved in that. Serial killers kill about 3 people in a span of a month or so. You never know who the next victim might be, for all we know it could the kid that just started to go into into the outside and try to start a
As everyone knows violence has increased in our community. Not just any violence, teen violence. Some ways to stop or prevent this is to be involved with your child's social media. Monitor what they are saying and what they are doing. Another way we have came up with is to set a curfew for your child. Also make sure your child does not leave home with the intent to hurt anyone with a weapon or insinuate violence.
According to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention show that the number of Juveniles arrested for committing a violent crime add up to 53,500 in 2014 alone. The crime rate of kids committing violent crimes has gone down, but kids committing a crime is a problem. Some people think that juveniles that commit murder or any other violent crimes that they should be helped and rehabilitated. People also want to abolish sentencing juveniles to life in prison. All Juveniles that commit violent crimes should be punished, therefore life in prison should not be abolished for Juveniles who commit murder.
The Edson RCMP, and the community, are concerned about violence between groups of youth after police broke up two fights involving weapons. Both incidents occurred in Edson within the last month.
The research in the journal entitled “Youth Violence: What We Know and What We Need to Know” was done by 12 American Psychologists from different universities. The research population consisted of youth violence. Some ideas that led to this research was Newtown, Connecticut, shooting, in which a 20-year old man first killed his mother and then went to a nearby elementary school in Newtown and killed 20 children and
Teen violence has always been around, but it seems to be getting worst. Teenagers these days have become more violent than ever. Back in March of this year, a young person was getting killed seems as every other week. Do we really know what causes teen violence? There are several theories about why teens act out in violence. Some say it is how the child was raised. Some say it is the company the child keeps. Then we get it is the media, such as video games, television, and music.
Parents often blame television influencing their children to encourage them to put their lives as risk just to become much more “cooler” and close to their favourite superhuman or character. Showcasing of violent shows often has been linked to increase in the rate of juvenile crime. Entertaining shows such as tom and jerry also send certain messages creating a change in the psychology of children, since it is easy to influence it at that age.Through such violent programs children get the idea that violence is a means to power.
Teenagers, who commit violent crime such as murder, first degree murder, second degree murder, homicides, voluntary manslaughter, and involuntary manslaughter should be tried as adults. These teenagers knew exactly what they were doing and they also had the intent to kill. Families are blaming it on violent movies or violent TV shows, hello it is called parental control. Maybe if we start trying them as adults teens would think twice. Adolescents should be tried as adults for committing violent crimes because they knew what they were going to do before they committed the crime.
