As I prepare for a 10 year Temple University Reunion. I think about all I have accomplished since my 4 years as a Temple owl. I owe great gratitude to Temple university for the great character building , innovative teaching, and family life preparing classes that have helped me become the man I am to today.
A Bachelor in Communication was greatly vital on the path to becoming a Director of communications for Apple. It was long road getting where I am today, but the great character building lessons I took with me from Temple University made each road block I faced more conquerable. At times I even look back on the person I was before attending Temple university. A 18 yr old transfer student from Upper Darby filled with limitless passion. My years at Temple helped me maintain and improve this

Being part of this new generation is quite helpful but not enough. The innovative ways of teaching learned at Temple University made this quest a completable one. My former professors and counselors always looked for new ways to help a student. At times the teaching techniques used were so contrast compared to well known ways, but also positively effective. Each time I gave a speech on a new idea I thought back on how my professors would have handled it and I always impress the company. My life as an Apple employee is filled with many things I appreciate each day, but my greatest blessing is at home. Coming home each day to two beautiful daughters Shelly and Caroline is a feeling that cannot be replaced. They are so much alike but also different that makes being a father so much more interesting. Growing up I have never saw myself as a father but the family life classes from Temple University changed my life so much that being a father is an accomplishment I am greatly proud
Serving others by utilizing the lessons I have learned through my experiences and my talents is how I want to live my life. As a first generation college student, I want to integrate myself in programs or start my own mentorship program where I am able to mentor and give back to students who are first generation college students as well. I feel it’s important to reach out to first generation college students because the amount of pressure we receive with little to no guidance can be discouraging and lead us to feel alone in this process.
We would like to congratulate your office on the first successful year of operating and maintaining Ryerson’s Student Learning Centre. When the announcement was made that Ryerson would be adding this state of the art facility to our campus we as students were ecstatic to experience a learning space which was truly unique. Although the Student Learning Centre has been extremely beneficial to all students Ryerson Students this far, we believe the space has not been used to its full potential.
One of the interesting facts about these videos to me is that University of Phoenix produced and used challenge coin without the approval from the military just to trick veterans to believe that Department of Defense has looked and examined that organization and authorized them in some way to provide them with the
With the undergraduate education I received at Our Lady of the Lake University I have a better understanding of my social surroundings and I am more skilled at diffusing strenuous situations. Furthermore, because of the experiences I have had in my undergraduate degree I am better understanding people’s emotions, which is vital as a supervisor in business. My undergraduate experience has also given me a better ability to grasp when someone is understanding and listening to my instruction, which is vital in a work place.
Although this is my second semester at Liberty University I have already completed the APOL and BIBL course which are required for my degree. As this would conclude the required Bible courses, I just hope to gain knowledge of a different aspect of the Bible. From my experience from the classes I have taken with Liberty University this far I realize that knowledge of the Bible is expected and I hope this course sets me up with more tools to complete various assignments. Through my prior courses this past summer I gained a refresher on things which I learned throughout high school and this course is something that I have actually never taken before. With it being new I just hope it brings insight into topics that are current and hopefully I
Over the last two years at the Howard Community College, I have spent truly unforgettable moments with friends and teachers at this amazing community. Initially, I came to Howard Community College to prepare myself for the 4-year university because I was not fully ready for university level academics as I am an international student from Mongolia. Specifically, English was not my strongest subject, therefore, I had to go through the step of community college in order to be ready for 4-year university. Now, I strongly believe that these two years have prepared me both academically and personally for the next chapter of my life. Furthermore, the past years have opened my eyes to a broader spectrum as I am constantly engaging with such diverse
I would like to express my strong desire to be part of the Heritage Hall team which prides itself in values and ethics to learn, to lead and to serve. The more I have learned about the tradition of Heritage Hall, I have discovered the learning institution’s values and ethics are facilitated through teaching ingenuity, diversity, courage and compassion to serve the community. These core ethos are directly in line with my personal beliefs. Numerous discussions with people associated with Heritage Hall throughout the community have proven the schools prideful tradition. Especially, Jimmika and Jacquelyn Wolf whom truly embody the school’s spirit and ethos in every faucet of their personal and professional lives.
It all started when I first found out about Mass Academy on WPI’s website. Though it was only by attending Mass Academy’s open house and visiting its website that allowed me to solidify my belief that the Academy is the ideal school for me.
I have three children, Danielle, Greg and Dean; I was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom till Dean went to Kindergarten. These years were the best time of my life, being home fulltime with my children. After helping Danielle, Greg and Dean; graduate from college, it is now my time. College takes a lot of time and
Another organization I became apart of during eighth grade was the National Junior Hhonors Society, or NJHS for short. When I first received the application for NJHS, I felt really stoked and nervous about completing the requirements to get in. The requirements included me to complete an essay, a list all of my accomplishments, and a list all of the clubs/organizations I participated in. was apart. Then, the day to receive the acceptance letters arrived, and Ii was very anxious to find out if I made it in or not. After school that day, I finally had got a chance to read the letter. As my friends watched me jump around the classroom yelling, “I got in, I got in!,”, I was feeling so much joy and happiness. After feeling so worried the whole day,
When I started researching Union University, I knew it was a special place. Schools with a seamless integration of Christian faith and academic rigor are few and far between, but I recognized Union as an institution that did. The core values of Union University clearly reflect this integration, and I am confident my time as a student would shape me into a highly competent and devoted Christian nurse.
Ball State University (BSU) was the first step in affirming my educational beliefs. I took on a major in Elementary Education, a concentration in Reading, and a minor in Theatre; three subjects that helped carry me through my childhood. These disciplines helped me identify my strengths. Script analysis became the examination of life and lesson planning became the piecing together of experiences. I soon became skilled at contextualizing, listening, and analyzing. This newfound knowledge quickly reflected in my personal pursuits.
I guess being at University of Delaware will be one of the most exciting journeys I will ever have. The rigorous course curriculum, highly experienced faculty and the mesmerizing beauty of the campus has hypnotized my senses. Even picturing myself working with the enthusiastic Blue hens, working on real life projects in Internships, experiencing an entirely new way of learning at study abroad programs, and realizing that sky is the limit at UD makes me grin like a Cheshire cat. I will feel more comfortable in the class than outside the classroom. Being a student from a small country I won’t be accustomed with the US culture like small talk, liberal views, dating etiquettes and lot more which will make me a bit uncomfortable outside the classroom.
“ I obtained a masters degree in social work. I wanted to achieve this because I've always wanted to give back to my community and other people. I enjoyed this field because i've got the amazing experiences of working with kids all over the world that wanted and deserved my help. This degree was so diverse because it allowed me to earn many different opportunities. Did college have a positive or a negative impact on your life after college, if so why?
The benefits of me being a working mom, it’s was satisfying to know that my children loved me and my boss happy with me. Even though I cherished my family, I started to appreciate that the world didn’t revolve around them. Career-wise I was able to stay in the loop, stay connected with what was going on in the world. Also found satisfaction being able to get intellectual stimulation from co-workers and work projects. Even though I love my kids to bits, they can’t understand the stresses of the world. My children never understood that me working benefits us with a second income coming in, but they get to enjoy the perks of it. I found that my children learned and developed earlier and faster than being at home with me. With both my husband and I working, I found it was easier to stay in sync. He understood how hard I worked all day. He never believed that I should be the only one on kids duty after a hard day of work. When I was on the home front he never took me for granted. It took less effort to keep the spark a live in our marriage.
