In mid-April 2000, Sherri Worth was faced with some very unsettling news about Pate Memorial Clinic’s future with a competitor potentially moving into the area. Worth was the assistant administrator at Pate Memorial Hospital (PMH) and was also responsible for the Pate Health Clinic (PHC). A study by the competitor was being done to see whether sufficient demand existed to establish a clinic 5 blocks north of PHC. The two biggest concerns in regards to the new competition were:
The case that I found is about a California medical center who has gone to court because of violating a patient`s privacy by releasing her medical information without her consent. Now they are fighting battle in court whether or not if the hospital officials have the right to share patient`s medical record unknown to the patient`s. But according to the Shasta Regional Medical Center, they said that the patient`s has waived her rights by giving her health information to a news agency, but the patient`s lawyers argue that they stay do not have the right to share the patient`s records (Patient Privacy, HIPAA Violation Case Argued in Calif., 2014). The patient`s was diagnosed with a form of malnutrition, and her medical records were sent to hundreds of hospital staff members.
The Midhudson Regional Hospital has diversed employees. They are made up of individuals with different culture, gender, socio-economic and race. During the infection control awareness week,I was very conscious of the diversity. Everyone was welcomed. Some of the participants received very easy question to avoid embarrasment . I was able to met and interact with many employees, patients and visitors with different cultures, genders, race and socioeconomic backgrounds. Cultural competency was applied..
Thank you for your response regards to "Rolling Meadows Community Hospital". John did not act in a fairly manner by not giving the intern the position. Even though John did confess his truly feelings it still ended up being an altercation not only for him but the hospital as well. I agree where you stated "This provide an understanding that just because one doesn’t physically touch or ask for physical contact doesn’t mean you can’t get in trouble for comment." I believe John felt like he could get away with this case just because he was the CEO of the hospital but it obviously does not matter what type of position you hold in a work environment; this should not be tolerated at any work environment.
Jefferson County has been without local access to healthcare for decades. Over 10 years ago the county commissioners agreed that a local hospital is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County and, therefore, began a fund to achieve this goal. As of today, the fund is worth $25 million, but to build and equip an adequately sized hospital, the county needs an additional $75 million. The commissioners appointed a committee to discuss the issue and determine the best plan of action going forward.

Alamance Regional Medical Center employed Shakira Kea PRN for the past two years. I have worked personally with Shakira over a year, not only as a co-worker but as her supervising charge nurse. This department was saddened by the news that Shakira was leaving, but knows she will be an asset wherever she goes.
Maggie Gill started her career with Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC) in 2004 as the VP of managed care and finance. In 2005, she became MUMC's COO, and then in 2011, she was named CEO and president by the board of directors, once they realized that the ideal candidate for the position, one who had experience in both finance and operations, was already employed by the health care facility.

Columbus, Ohio Memorial Hospital (COMH) has implemented an electronic medical record (EMR) since 2010, which has clearly demonstrated great improvement in patient care. During my work experiences, one of the concerns the physicians voiced were they were unable to communicate patient information to other providers or staff without having access to electronic medical records (EMR) in front of them, at that given time. The concerns expressed were that there was countless times that a physician had to wait on lab results to base their decision on patient care, while located at another facility. Physicians have experienced the frustration of inconvenient, slow or missing communication in their facilities when caring for their patients. In addition,
