Many people know from a very young age that the workplace setting is not a good fit for them. These people create and operate their own business and they are then known as entrepreneurs and not employees. Just about anyone can become an entrepreneur. Any individual with as little as $100 can be a business owner. No matter your background anyone can become an entrepreneur. One entrepreneur who we are all familiar with goes by the name of Oprah Winfrey. Oprah Winfrey had a rough upbringing and was even fired and is to this day the richest African American of the 21st century. She has a net worth of over $3 billion, she is without a doubt an entrepreneur success story. A few other entrepreneurs that we are all familiar with are Walt Disney, J.K Rowling, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates just to name a few.
With the freedom that entrepreneurship provides, it makes no sense to work for someone. Research suggest that being an entrepreneur is preferred over the average nine-five job because it’s more flexible, allows more freedom, Fast retirement, and No Boss.
Entrepreneurship comes with many benefits. One of those benefits is the flexibility that it allows an individual to have. Time is very precious and something we can’t get back. So, why allow someone to tell you what to do with 40 hours out of your week? In a traditional work setting you are told when you can eat and when to get back to work. That may be flexible for the employer but not so much for the employee. Entrepreneurs start and stop working when it is convenient for them and not an employer. They are not always on the same repetitive time schedule every day. Every day is new in the life of an entrepreneur. You wake up when you want and sleep in if you like. Being an employee, you don’t have the option to wake up when you want. You are on the companies schedule to fit their needs. If an employee tried to work based on an entrepreneur schedule they would end up jobless. Flexibility is a plus to an entrepreneur because not everyone is a morning person.
Some people think better when they do things on their own time. Flexibility is very important to an individual who has or would like to start a family. Families require a lot of attention. Without
In my work with entrepreneurs over the years, I have found that, although they do not necessarily become rich, they do become happier, more self-confident and more self-reliant. Very few entrepreneurs would ever go back to a salaried job. Even though they don't make an enormous amount of money, they love the freedom so much that they could not imagine turning their destiny over to anyone else.
Have you ever thought about having your own business before? You can wake up when you want to. That's right, it means saying goodbye to that pesky alarm clock and sleeping till noon if you want to. You are your own boss! The only person that you answer to is YOU. You wake up when you want, go to bed when you want and work when you want.
When you start to set up your own business you get to be your own boss which means you can get up whenever you want, finish whenever you want, also you can tell you’re labourer when to get up and what time to get out of the door by. Being your own boss or not having a boss is probably the greatest advantage of having your own business. It provides you with more control over your life. You don't have to ask for time off, you decide when to have a holiday and you can choose to do work you enjoy and find working for yourself better than having to get up when they say. Being your own boss is also exciting.
Many people have been able to find success in business. For example, Donald Trump found success in real estate among other things. Jeno Paulucci and Momofuku Ando found success in food companies. Steve Jobs found it in technology. Bette Nesmith Graham found it by creating White Out.
To conclude I would cite the philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Being an entrepreneur means being able to go where nobody else went before you, being able to take risks, being able to see opportunities where nobody has looked before you… In my mind there is different ways to succeed in
I believe in both situations the benefits totally different but the outcome is also so different from each other. As Bob state, it all depends in what type of person you are, or what are your necessities or priorities. My father prefers to be an entrepreneur, and I have seen him on both sides of the coin. I do not consider one is better than the other, because the only real deference are the responsibilities each one
Entrepreneurs are risk takers in the market. They are willing to gamble their hard work for a business that may fail or succeed. Many fail to keep their business alive, however; others are lucky to compete and survive in the market. Entrepreneurs like Maribel Galsim, owner of Maribel’s Daycare, were successful in their business. Maribel’s Daycare was successful because of hard work, patience, and being adaptable.
The race of getting up at the same time every day, fighting rush hour traffic on the drive to and from the office, doing the same job at the same place day after day and having little time to spend with family can become a grater. By becoming an entrepreneur, you may have the luxury of creating a flexible work schedule that allows you to attend to many other things by schedule. If you choose a business venture that allows you to work at home, you can avoid the work going back and forth altogether.
Entrepreneurship is a when you are running your own business. We use this business to have goals and go through different challenges to create value. Why is entrepreneurship important? Entrepreneurship is important because it allows to get people to created new ideas that provide others with new jobs.
Being an entrepreneur is a very laborious task, but there is an abundance of advantages. First, I will have the opportunity to make more money than I would have if I stayed at my previous occupation. Second, I would be my boss, and make all the decisions when it comes to anything, which I couldn’t do previously.
Many gravitate to the 9-5 job environment as a result; and those willing to try often have no idea of the radically different mindset required. The entrepreneur is often aware of the risks, but not always cognizent of all the factors that must come together for a successful
Most people don’t have the temperament to be an entrepreneur, why do you think “bosses” are such assholes? They (should) know everyone else’s job inside out, plus their own while managing everyone’s day-to-day. I think like most things in society, people play entrepreneur for the title or how it somehow makes them appear, but again, it’s actually miserable. Being an entrepreneur means mostly any & everything that takes your attention away from work will piss you off. I’ll be at a party texting myself everything I’d rather be doing on my laptop. And that may seem extreme but I have a healthy obsession with my goals. I say healthy because it’s derived from love & passion of creating.
Starting a business is the latest trend. Just take a look at Instagram. Several profiles have the caption ‘Entrepreneur’. At this very moment, there is someone, somewhere working on an idea, a business plan or launching a startup. Entrepreneurship is on the rise like never before. The flexibility and independence that comes with being one’s own boss is attractive and worth taking the leap in starting a business. However, most people don’t know that being an entrepreneur is a grueling journey that can be very lonely and stressful at times. According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), 50% of businesses fail during the first year. Starting a business can be a scary task, but the
Entrepreneurship is one of the hardest investments to make because it requires more than just money. Consequently, it is also an ownership investment with extremely large potential returns. By creating a product or service and selling it to people who want it, entrepreneurs can make huge personal fortunes. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and one of the world's richest men, is a prime example.
So why entrepreneurship? The idea that could lead to making enough money where you could pile it to a skyscraper and still be taller. So why isn’t everyone an entrepreneur? That’s because it will take blood sweat and tears to make your idea a success. The success of an idea comes in all sorts of varieties. For example, Californian advertising executive Gary Dahl, was the first to create the ordinary grey stones bought at a supply store and convinced that they were alive – Pet Rocks. The marketing strategy was built around a fad that lasted only six months, yet he made millions and got out. Marketing is way to get your name out to others.
