Recycling is one of the easiest and best ways for people to help the environment. More people need to recognize and take recycling seriously, because it can prolong the survival of humanity on Earth. The basic concept of recycling is the process of converting used materials or waste into reusable material for production. Both fast food and their packages contain materials that are not perishable, which starts piling up in landfills, creating more pollution. In addition, these different types of waste have more side effects that cause even higher levels pollution. For instance, chemicals and greenhouse gases come from many kinds of waste, and are released into the environment making the levels of pollution very high around landfills (“Recycling is Important”). Instead of becoming waste, materials can be recycled and used again. Therefore, if all these different types of waste are recycled, then it will limit a large amount of pollution in the environment. Using recycling to limit pollution on Earth is also a great reason that demonstrates the benefits of recycling, which shows that it needs more awareness. One of the most recognized and important benefits of recycling is conserving natural resources. Natural resources are the major reasons why the humanity has still survived on Earth, which is why we need to conserve as much as possible. Most people are aware that the main purpose for recycling is to conserve resources, but not many people take it seriously.
