Recycling is one of the easiest and best ways for people to help the environment. More people need to recognize and take recycling seriously, because it can prolong the survival of humanity on Earth. The basic concept of recycling is the process of converting used materials or waste into reusable material for production. It is essential that people start realizing that recycling is necessary now, and going to be more necessary in the future because of the new, higher quality lifestyles people are living. With more people becoming wealthier, more products are being consumed, and as a result more waste is being produced. In addition, the world's increasing population also increases the number of products that could become potential waste …show more content…
Both fast food and their packages contain materials that are not perishable, which starts piling up in landfills, creating more pollution. In addition, these different types of waste have more side effects that cause even higher levels pollution. For instance, chemicals and greenhouse gases come from many kinds of waste, and are released into the environment making the levels of pollution very high around landfills (“Recycling is Important”). Instead of becoming waste, materials can be recycled and used again. Therefore, if all these different types of waste are recycled, then it will limit a large amount of pollution in the environment. Using recycling to limit pollution on Earth is also a great reason that demonstrates the benefits of recycling, which shows that it needs more awareness. One of the most recognized and important benefits of recycling is conserving natural resources. Natural resources are the major reasons why the humanity has still survived on Earth, which is why we need to conserve as much as possible. Most people are aware that the main purpose for recycling is to conserve resources, but not many people take it seriously. They do not realize how big of an impact recycling can actually have, so they do not pay much attention to it. Though this is not the case with recycling. If everybody can contribute to recycling, no matter how small the contribution, it will be a huge
Do you know that many americans do not know how important recycling is? In the article “Importance of Recycling” by Rinkesh he says, “Recycling is important in today’s world if we want to leave this planet for our future generations.” This statement explains how many americans do not know how important recycling is to keep this planet and many more generations going. Many people do not know the different ways recycling helps out our enviroment. Personally, recycling is important for the environment, which is why I decide participate in it and recycle at home. I like to recycle cans and bottles. In my opinion, there are many factors as to why the environment needs recycling, but to shorten the process I came up with three major needs as to why
One of the biggest reasons recycling should be taken so serious is because of its positive affect on the environment. Without recycling, so many goods that have potential to be repurposed are thrown into landfills. These landfills are piled up and affect the lives of countless wildlife. This quote by Allen Hershkowitz shows the enormity of the helpfulness of recycling. “Because using recycled materials reduces the need to extract, process, refine, and transport the timber, crude petroleum, ores, and so on that are necessary for virgin-based paper, plastics, glass, and metals, recycling lessens the toxic air emissions, effluents, and solid wastes that these manufacturing processes create” (Hershkowitz). Not having to put the weight of everyone’s trash trash on the world’s land and instead, repurposing it into something usable saves so many resources. Recycling not only leaves more room for things where the trash would have gone, but it also means that the people living here will get farther with the resources they have. The more that is taken from the earth the less there will be for those in the future, so saving and taking care of what is here is very important. The ones living in the world today are the people who are get to decide how the people of the generations to come are going to live. People should not want their kids living in a world of filth and pollution where no one cares about the world they are living on. An article by Omid Nodoushani discussed in depth the terrible amounts of pollution that is
Recycling is presently one of the most controversial topics, considering that while most individuals put across their support regarding the act the number of individuals who actually do something in order to recycle is much smaller. Many people are currently unable or unwilling to recycle properly because the process often requires a series of changes in one's life. It is thus essential for the authorities to provide educational programs meant to assist individuals in understanding why recycling is important and in learning how to recycle effectively. People need to accept the fact that the benefits of recycling will reflect on the future and that conditions are currently critical as a result of the fact that the masses are generally unacquainted with the importance of this process.
In the not too distant future, recycling will no longer be speculated and studied. It will simply be a fact of everyday life. In the last 20 years, recycling rates in the United States have risen from 13 percent to almost 24 percent. More than ever before, recycled waste is being kept out of our county dumps and incinerators and is being put to many different uses, creating new jobs and companies. Those who don’t agree that recycling has any benefit say that recycling costs more than dumping, falsely claiming that recycling is a complete waste of money and time. However, recycling today is often less expensive than dumping or burning, and is quickly becoming the preferred alternative. In this essay, I want to show how recycling isn’t just a business or environmental issue, it is something much larger that we must embrace and make a priority in our every day living. As stewards of this planet, we are obligated to make everyone cognizant of how important recycling is to our existence, and pass what we have learned on to future generations. If we can only begin to think differently about how we handle our every day waste, we can help ensure a clean environment well into the future.
Consequently, take a gander at what an Earth would look like with recycling. There would be less Greenhouse gases from the production of new materials. People could have visit an even greater amount of wildlife now that their habitats’ destruction is slowed. They might even gain some back and their habitats could expand! If every person just recycled one can of pop or tea every day, we could save the energy equivalent of 80,000 barrels of oil and reduce the harmful greenhouse
Audience Relevance: Recycling is something most people choose to ignore. Recycling helps the world by reusing trash to make new products. As a result, this helps reduce the amount of trash that rot in landfills and pollution.
Recycling is an important thing to do. The average American throws out atleast 4 pounds of trash everyday, and only recycles about a third of that trash. Those pounds all add up to ridiculous ammounts, harming the earth and filling up the landfills very quickly. It may cost money to start up the recycling process, but researchshows that 500 million dollars can be made just by selling recycled materials.

Recycling does a lot of good. Recycling saves energy because the manufacturers do not have to produce something new from raw natural resources. Recycling also reduces the need for landfills. By using recycled materials we save on energy consumption, which keeps
I think that everybody can agree that recycling is necessary and beneficial - for not only our communities throughout the United States, but for the entire World. I remember going on a feild trip in elementary school to see my City's landfill, and I just remember thinking that all of that trash did not have to be there. The longer we put off recycling, the more damage all this trash will cause, and sooner.
Recycling is the top action society can do to simultaneously improve the environment, the economy, sustainable manufacturing and to prevent waste from going into the oceans; it is proven, when there is a strong recycling culture, there is less litter and less waste going into the ocean (Recycle Across America). When we recycle our waste products rather than throw them all in the garage, we save room in landfills, reduce our energy used to manufacture new products and reduce the fossil fuels extracted and greenhouse gases from being burned off into the atmosphere (Thorpe). People not only recycle paper and plastic. They even recycle electronics. “As electronics fail or become obsolete, this stuff needs to be recycled or it winds up being buried in a landfill,” Kline said. “In addition to the
These days, our earth has been filled by a lot of waste. There is a lot of garbage, plastic waste, and electronic waste. We always produce it and dump it when we need the new one. Our waste are piling up and continuously accumulating. Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us now. And our solution in this problem is recycling. In my opinion, recycling is a way to manage used items into new products. We can reduce, reuse, and recycling (3R) waste management (Peter, 2013). We can reduce our waste clothes with reuse it. There are some reasons why peoples recycle used or unwanted items, which are, prevent wasting unusable materials that still have usage after recycled, reduce the application of raw materials, reduce energy
Everyone knows how to recycle; the used items are placed on the curb, sent to donation centers, and picked up to be used, but many do not have knowledge of where their products go after that. Of course recycled materials can be reused, and reduce pollution and the basic facts that everyone is aware of but how exactly do different items benefit our environment? The facts and statistics shown on how things are recycled and how they help our world prove to be more interesting and beneficial then one would think. Recycling is a very intricate process that has many worldly benefits to which our people should be more aware of in their daily lives.
Recycling is a process where waste materials are transformed into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.
Care for a snack? Try the chocolate bar that comes in recyclable packaging, or maybe pick up a package of sustainable wood-fiber-filled baby diapers, or a no-animal-testing sunscreen, nontoxic spray cleaner, an entry form for a Prius giveaway or a cloth grocery bag for your shopping (Layton, 2014). Many products have become useful in so many ways that not recycling is harmful as well as unwise and uneconomical. There’s not enough room to throw trash all over the place, pollute, and simply not recycle. In order to understand the importance of recycling, people must first understand what recycling is, what it involves, and how it works. It is also important to know not only the effects of recycling but benefits as well. There are
