Mr. President, Dr. Conant, members of the Board of Overseers, Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am profoundly grateful, touched by the great distinction and honor and great compliment accorded me by the authorities of Harvard this morning. I am overwhelmed, as a matter of fact, and I am rather fearful of my inability to maintain such a high rating as you 've been generous enough to accord to me. In these historic and lovely surroundings, this perfect day, and this very wonderful assembly, it is a tremendously impressive thing to an individual in my position.
But to speak more seriously, I need not tell you that the world situation is very serious. That must be apparent to all intelligent people. I think one difficulty is that the problem is one of such enormous complexity that the very mass of facts presented to the public by press and radio make it exceedingly difficult for the man in the street to reach a clear appraisement of the situation. Furthermore, the people of this country are distant from the troubled areas of the earth, and it is hard for them to comprehend the plight and consequent reactions of the long-suffering peoples of Europe and the effect of those reactions on their governments in connection with our efforts to promote peace in the world.
In considering the requirements for the rehabilitation of Europe, the physical loss of life, the visible destruction of cities, factories, mines, and railroads was correctly estimated, but it has become obvious during

Good Morning, Mrs. Williams Jones, Mrs. Babb, Mrs. Semper, Mr. Heaton, 8th grade teachers, families, friends, and the graduating 8th grade class. Thank you, for that very kind introduction, (INSERT NAME OF PERSON WHO INTRODUCED ME). And thank you, all for being here today at our graduation to celebrate our achievements and success. Most of you might know me, but for those who don’t, I am Jassnjot Kaur. I have been attending PS124 for nine years and I’m honored to speak to you today as your Valedictorian. Today is a very special and memorable day for not just me, but for all of us which includes us graduating students, our proud parents, and our pleased teachers.
I am writing this letter to thank you for your generous $700 Overstreet Scholarship. I am so appreciative and thankful for this opportunity and was so shocked that I was eligible for this. Receiving the scholarship was and still is such an amazing feeling inside for me and shows me I have more potential than I thought. I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship and have never been more grateful for the opportunity that you chose me and recognized me as an individual.
It was a pleasure meeting you during my visit to the campus for the position of Assistant/Associate Provost. I want to thank you for taking time to share information regarding the Admissions process for the University. The information you shared was very informative. Again, thank you.
I am Writing to thank you for your generous $ 500 Textbook Scholarship. Thank you so much for this wonderful reward. This motivates me so much in my education. When I checked my email, I was so happy I burst into tear.
After reading William R. Keylor's The Legacy of the Great War, I realized the important events that pertain to the international relations. Until our present day there has not been so many great leaders come together to address issues such as: politics, economics, and social settings in Europe. This is the beginning of the problems in European civilization.
I want to express my highest appreciation for your contribution to my continuing academic success. I am honored to be a recipient of the Wells Fargo Scholarship through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Your generous support will allow me to continue to push toward my goal of graduating summa cum laude.
JP: Well Mr. Washington, I would like to thank you very much for your time. My readers are very excited to hear your thoughts. Is there anything else which you would like to add?
I would like to expand my appreciation to you regarding the generous scholarship which you awarded me. This scholarship is not only an amazing assistance to me and my family, but also an honor of which I am very proud.
I know that I am truly well prepared for the extensive and renowned program available at your university as a result of the excellent background and foundation I have established. Having maintained a balance of two jobs, school and a variety of extracurricular activities, I know that I am prepared to continue the same
"I am so grateful for the opportunity and am amazed by the skill and dedication with which this program was organized, delivered, and mentored!”
Then, I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago to get a WONDERFUL phone call from your scholarship committee notifying me that I was a recipient for your award! The astonishment and delight on my face said it all; I was in complete amazement! As soon
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful job you did as the professor and director of the honors program. This has been my first year in the program and I can proudly say that it is an amazing opportunity to be able to be part of. We faced challenges, met new friends, and heard anecdotes from doctors from different fields, which I think that is moving forward to our future step by step going through the right direction.
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making me the recipient of the Marlin and Ginger Miller Trustee Scholarship. I was very happy and grateful to found out I was awarded with this scholarship.
After all of the chaos that happened in Europe, the war left Europe in bad shape. All of their infrastructure, farms, and cities were blown up and were not in anyway near good condition. Their infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and train lines were torn up from the thousands of troops marching on them, tanks and trucks driving, and artillery hitting all of the infrastructure. With bad infrastructure, it made transportation of people, goods, and tools tough. The farms were torn apart from many troops marching on them and from bomb craters. This caused many people to starve and many food businesses to die down due to the lack of production and trade. All of the cities and buildings were destroyed to bits. All of the debris of the buildings
