Biography Profile The person is Edgar Allan Poe who was an American writer, poet, critic, and editor. He was born in the nineteenth century. Some of his accomplishments are writing short poems and stories. The Cask of Amontillado, Tell Tale Heart, and The Raven were some short poems and stories. The Raven was one of the best known american poem in literature. His parents were professional actors who were members of repertory company in Boston. When Edgar Allan Poe was three years old his parents died and was then raised in a home of John Allan who was never legally adopted as his foster son. This impacted him by being strong and push through the tough times. Edgar Allan Poe was prepared for the lifeś work they did because of not having financial support which would help him be independent and let him live on his own. The people who helped him were the Allan family because they were wealthy and so he could attend very good schools. They provided him with shelter and food. …show more content…

When his parents died he got taken in with John Allan. He attended college but it didn't work, so he then joined the army which is when he started publishing poems and short stories. He went to a college but about half of the year he had to leave because of bad debts and financial support. He then joined the army and published his first poem but sadly he was gained a dismissal by ignoring orders and violating regulations. He then traveled around publishing his third collection of verses. He then traveled to Baltimore to live with his Aunt. His wife helped him live a healthy life with a shelter over his head. He also wasn’t alone and got some inspiration from his love for his wife who is also his cousin. Edgar Allan Poe had a lot of challenges but still was a great writer. He was being kicked out of college was a big challenge he had to face. Also have to deal financial issues and the death of his wife. When his wife died he was starting to feel
