Most violent assaults are not done by people who are mentally ill; in the case of the Christopher Wilder, this statistic is seemingly correct. However, Wilder killed more than eight aspiring models in the late 1900s. After his parents bailed him out twice in Australia, he moved to the United States an embarked on a murder rampage. The recollections of past victims and reports made from the police and FBI piece together the journey, style, and malicious acts of Christopher Wilder in 1984.
Born in 1945, Christopher Wilder, later named the Beauty Queen Killer went on a murder spree. He weaved cross country from Florida to California to New York, eventually dying at a gas station in New Hampshire on his way to Canada. Wilder came from Sydney, Australia where he was the son of an Australian woman and an American naval officer. He did not have any signs suggesting future violent behavior, but did have two near death experiences. The first of which occurred at birth when both he and his mother almost died, but the doctors were able to save them. The next near-death experience happened when Wilder nearly drowned in a swimming pool. In observation of later court cases, he grew up in a wealthy family and was an only child. His parents acted in denial towards his later actions, willingly paying bail and helping him leave Australia.
