The American Revolution was one of the most famous revolutions. It is when the United States got its independence. The conflict of this rose between the colonist and Great Britain. There are many events and conflicts that led up to it like the Boston tea party and the Boston massacre. The American Revolution was a time that the United States rose up and took back what they rightfully deserved. Starting in 1765 the American colonist refused the British parliament could tax them. This sparked the Boston tea party in 1773. The Patriots destroyed taxed tea from the Parliament controlled. The colonist didn’t like it, so the colonist proposed the tea act because they believed that it violated their rights as Englishmen. So they protested, and said “No taxation without representation”. This means as long as the colonist are being taxed they are not electing a representative.
