The Charlotte Convention center is proud to be the host of the Independent party convention; throughout the convention the city will be the host to the various activities that will enhance the party’s incentives. During the political conventions, there are a lot of activities that happen throughout the course of these events. The event planning committee is preparing for a wide range of events such as speeches, nomination process, seminars, the stating of the party platform, and parades. While all these activities have a certain amount of risk involved, parades and the demonstrations that occur during a political convention provide a greater amount of risk.
As a result, the following risk management plan will address the risk associated

handle the potential fire risks. Additionally, floats are often made of combustible materials, so having the proper protocols in place will only increase the opportunity to have a successful parade. The next section of the risk management plan will cover the general guidelines for the parade. The parade participants play a key role in the parade because they are the main entertainment aspect of the event. Thus, providing the participants with clear rules and regulations will assist in preventing unneeded risks from occurring. The parade participants can include the drivers, spectators, and officials. Hence, the following guide will address the risks of all the participants. The parade participant guidelines will include: limit the speed of motorized vehicles in your parade to 10 mph, restricting drivers from weaving or swerving towards the crowd, forbid throwing of candies, toys, trinkets or other items into the crowd, not allowing

America is considered as a global superpower, and has a critical role to play in the global socioeconomic and political landscape. Critical examination of US presidential elections show that they draw widespread attention from across the globe. In many instances, the major political parties differ significantly on policies, a prospect that may work to the advantage or the disadvantage of the candidate for Democratic Party of the Republican Party. After months of the long bruising primaries, the GOP conducted its convention in Cleveland while the democratic sect held their convention in Philadelphia. The speeches delivered in the two conventions had significant policy differences which are likely to influence voting
In summary, the parade included the police department, tractors, modern cars, floats, marching units, school bands, school clubs, and sport teams from different areas. The parade even carried the delta fair queen and maids. My favorite section of the parade were the floats considering some people get so creative decorating. The floats were awarded. First place won $1000, second place won $600, third place won $450, fourth place won $350, and fifth place won $250. Some people bring in their competitive side, which makes it really amusing to watch.
Conventions and primaries conducted are temporary. Precinct conventions are open to members of the party who have voted earlier into the day at the first primary or in early voting. They occur only on even numbered years on the first Tuesday in March. At these conventions Delegates and alternates are selected to attend the next higher party convention with resolutions
Parties are an important part of the political process; however, they do not have the same influence that they once enjoyed. One reason for this is the candidate-centered election that has come, in part, from the
The group originally did fund raising for events but has since added campaigning strategics to their list and, of course, winning major elections.
Parade is a cultural and social visualization that each community or town celebrate in honor to their social class and accomplishment. It is a fun activity that shows visual communication between the participants and the audience. The symbol that the parade has carried is to spread their culture at the same time invites people to come to generate more town income. The celebration is one way to explain how people give support and socialize in the society. One example of this parade is the Mardi Gras in Lafayette, Louisiana, every year they celebrate in honor for their cultural distinctiveness and abundant blessing they receive. It is also a tourist attraction in a way that Louisiana invites more tourists to come and participate in the parade.
The member of the Republican Party is fluid, and every voter who votes for this party would be a member of this party ("The Republican Party"). The National Convention would be held every four years. ("The Republican Party") The purpose of this convention is to choose the president’s and the vice president’s electors for the Republican Party ("The Republican Party"). The highest institution is the Republican National Committee which it is led by the president, and the elephant is the sign of the Republican Party ("The Republican
The two largest American political parties are organized by three levels: local, state, and national. The first and lowest level of organizing political parties is the local party organizations. The local party organizations handle many of the basic responsibilities. For example, finding and assembling potential voters and contributors, finding and preparing qualified candidates for public office, and rounding up new representatives for the party. They are also responsible for holding regular meetings to ensure that elections are managed adequately. The second level of organizing political parties is the state party organizations. The state party organizations are responsible for major party functions. For instances, they handle fundraising
Every 4 years, numerous people face off with the hopes of achieving or keeping the office of US President. This salient occurrence kicks off with Presidential Primaries and Caucuses. “Primaries come in two basic forms: In an open primary, all registered voters can vote for any candidate, regardless of their political affiliation. Registered Democrats may vote for a Republican candidate, and Republican voters may cast ballots for a Democrat, for instance. And registered Independents can participate in either party’s primary. But in a closed primary, voters may vote only for candidates of the party with which they are registered” (Gore, D’Angelo. Caucus vs Primary). Caucuses are similar to primaries, except that one has to be present at the
Every four years, the incumbent president’s term ends and Americans are left with the difficult but massively important choice of who to elect as the next leader of their country. In these elections, though there are many crucial proceedings that occur, two of the most important events are the national conventions that each party holds between their primary elections and the presidential election. The national conventions are so important because during them, each political party nominates their candidate for the upcoming election and gives that candidate a chance to talk to the American people and try to persuade them to vote for him or her. This year’s conventions have set the stage for the election that will occur in a few months, so it
Thousands of delegates gather to rally support for the platform and to nominate candidates for president and vice-president. From the 1820s until the 1930s, party conventions were boisterous events in which determining a nominee could spark hot debate. By the mid-20th century, however, primary elections had become the main way of selecting a nominee. After the convention, the second stage of the presidential campaign begins the election campaign. In this stage, presidential candidates from different parties compete against each
The selection of the delegates to participate in the conventions transpires at a state level. This means that there can be significant changes in the delegates from state to state and occasionally year to year. The delegates are gathered from
The national and state parties are now actively involved in the campaign support functions that private campaign consultants and other political groups had monopolized until recently. In addition, the increasing strength of the national parties has also altered their relationships with state and local party organizations. Moreover, the strengthened national parties perform a number of vital functions in presidential campaigns. Both national committees’ research issues study the opponent’s record and background, and search for their own candidate’s weak points and ways to stop attacks. They train state party staff and field directors and maintain relationships with important groups in the party’s network. (Party Politics in America
Research of social impact of events is one of the emerging topics in event management literature and has a great degree of importance for a variety of different reasons considering their short term, high profile and a relatively profound effect on everyday life of local communities. (Ritchie
