The Darst Creek Field is an old accumulation and is reaching the end of its primary production phase. It offers the unique operational constraints of its targets being primarily of carbonate lithology (limestone’s and chalks.) This structural composition offers potential to be enhanced via a chemical or water flood due to its relatively high permeability and other reservoir characterization. Contained within is the research and findings after building and executing a simulation of the potential for a flood in this area.
1 Introduction
Water and polymer flooding have seen a surge in older fields as a method of extracting bypassed hydrocarbons in the secondary production phase of the reservoir. Typically, the floods have seen the largest increase of EUR in reservoirs that have highly mobile fluids and with a high permeability formation. This allows the fluids to rapidly move through the formation and push the desired hydrocarbons towards our production wells. These reservoirs are typically in the form of deeper sandstone reservoirs, but studies are being conducted in an attempt to implement the floods in other reservoir types. Through this paper we will evaluate the needs of an EOR process in carbonate formations to evaluate their potential implementation in the Darst Creek Oil Field in Luling, Texas. Webb (2003) conducted numerical analysis of source-water dynamics of stream-bounded alluvial aquifers, along the Ohio River in northern panhandle of West Virginia, with consideration of lateral infiltration of groundwater from bedrock aquifer. However, the author did not verify her model to the field data. On the other hand, Kozar and McCoy (2004) presented groundwater-surface water interaction and simulation of groundwater flow in the alluvial aquifers from the northern panhandle of West Virginia without considering recharge form adjacent bedrock and leakage from overlying tributary streams. Although, Bader et al., (1997) and Unthank (1999) independently identified that the alluvium along the Ohio River, West Virginia and Kentucky respectively is recharged by the following means: (1) precipitation on the flood plain, (2) inflow from fractures in the bedrock beneath and adjacent to the alluvium, (3) inflow from tributary streams through gravel deltas and bedding-plane partings, and (4) induced inflow from the river. Water flowing in tributary streams can percolate through the deltas to the gravel under the clay-silt layer (Grain, 1966). Unthank (2013) updated model and reran it which generated significant difference between measured water levels and model-computed water levels in the aquifer. The land around it is hilly.The Mill Creek lies at the heart, soul, and industrial center of Greater Cincinnati. Bola Creek Track is located within Sydney, New South Wales, within the Royal National Park. This famous heritage listed site holds the title for being Australia’s oldest national park and the second oldest in the world. The field study conducted in the surrounding rainforest of Bola Creek, south end of Lady Carrington Drive, is aimed at assessing and recording data from the area to determine the overall condition of the local ecosystem and the impact human activities are having on the area. Natural flora and fauna abundance and distribution of populations were studied and also the developed adaptations that assists their survival. On October 8th, 2015 our 8-Orange team took a field trip to the Conodoguinet Creek to test the water quality. The Conodoguinet Creek was tested about 2 different times. It was tested about 2 times to take a test to see if the water was polluted or unpolluted. The results will help you understand the conflict of the Conodoguinet Creek.The water came up to about our knees. This trip was different but very informational.

A site called Coobool Creek on the Wakool River, located between Swan Hill and Deniliquin in the Murray River Valley was where G. M. Black accumulated 126 skulls from the suface area near Doherty’s Hut at the Coobool Crossing in 1950 and they were studied by Brown. The 126 crania has been returned to the Aborigines for a reburial. The collection was named the Murray Black collection after G. M. Black who found it and the location in which in was found.
The Silver Bow Creek watershed in southwest Montana encompasses approximately 474 square miles and forms a portion of the headwaters of the Clark Fork River and ultimately, the Columbia River (Montana Natural Resource Damage Program, 2009). The site covers about 26 miles of stream and stream side habitat. Silver Bow Creek was used as a conduit for mining, smelting, industrial and municipal wastes for more than a hundred years (Weitz, Luxenberg). Rather large amounts of mine tailings deposits are found along the creek. These deposits contain elevated levels of metals and have been dispersed over the entire flood plain (Weitz, Luxenberg).

Newtown creek is a 3.8-mile waterway located on the border of Brooklyn and Queens in New York City and was once a busy center for industrial activity. More than 50 factories were located along its banks, including oil refineries, petrochemical plants, sawmills, and lumber and coal yards. The Creek was also the site of one of the largest oil spill in the U.S. (EPA, 2007). As a consequence, the soil surrounding the area became polluted with toxic heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and was declared a Superfund site. The Superfund Program requires responsible parties to perform cleanups or reimburse the government for cleanups led by EPA. East Turkey Creek is located in southeast Arizona in the Chiricahua Mountains along the New Mexico border. The Chiricahua Mountain Range is one of the largest Sky Islands in the Sky Island region of the United States with a total area greater than 140,000 ha and elevations ranging from approximately 1,100 to 2975 m. East Turkey Creek is located on the eastern side of the Chiricahua Mountain Range and flows northeast from its spring source in Rustler Park towards the town of Paradise, AZ before fully infiltrating. Stream flow near the source is perennial, whereas most of the stream is characterized by intermittency, usually drying up to remnant pools in late May or June. The flow itself is driven in part by spring source and in part by early spring snowmelt, with peak flows occurring in July and August during the monsoon season. The nearest climate station is in Paradise, AZ. The average minimum temperature is -4.2°C and occurs in January. The average maximum temperature is 31.2°C, occurring in June. The purpose of this report is to geologically evaluate the potential hazards for flooding in Hazard City. This report will include a detailed historic and extrapolated Stream Gauge Data Worksheet, as well as a graph of the Discharge Frequency Curve expected on Clearwater River. The report will provide Hazard city with my scientific analysis, conclusions, and provide recommendations concerning potential flood damages.
