The article first provides a description of why water is important and who it affects next, it explains where water is and how it is used and lastly, it analyzes a solution and the consequences if a successful solution is not provided. The author gives data on the people who are affected by the lack of drinkable water in order to convince the reader that this is a large problem. The language in this article is simple yet informative widening the audience to anyone who can help aid the program or anyone who can spread the word about the program.

While Population: 485 centers on several different themes throughout the book, I chose to focus my interpretation on the sense of belonging the author, Michael Perry, seems to crave all through the literature, and more specifically, during chapters one and seven. Listed as “gamma +” (linking a small economic region to the world economy) by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network; putting Charlotte in the same category as St. Petersburg, with Raleigh one grade below. But what is a world class city? Despite many different answers as to what composes one, there are a few standard traits that can be found such as: extensive public transit system, a populous international airport, Influence in political issues, prominent skyline, internationally renowned, and corporate headquarters. In order to raise Charlotte’s status to world class these are the steps I will take.

The effects of climate change may already be influencing weather patterns in southeast Florida. If temperatures rise, it is to expect that Florida’s climate zones will migrate northward, and zones of more tropical climate will enlarge, but the opposite has been the case despite record temperatures in the state because, while temperatures are higher, extremes are greater. As a result of sea level rise, coastal areas will see migration of seawater into fresh aquifers that will threaten the availability of fresh water supplies, however, the way groundwater works, the rise in sea level will be accompanied by an increase in groundwater levels. Southeast Florida has developed only by reducing groundwater levels. Rising seas also mean rising groundwater, so more intense rainfall will increase the risk of flooding (Bloetscher, Heimlich, & Meeroff 2011). The KOA campground in Okeechobee, Florida, is at risk for this natural disaster. This particular KOA location has a large annual occupancy, which correlates with a busy tourist season. Furthermore, the demand for drive tourism, however, is subject to an excess of ‘decision criteria’ including price, time, and infrastructure offerings during and at the destination point (Fjelstul & Fyall, 2015).

A number of apartments (point 2) have been built, as well as schools (point 1) and parks to provide a better living area for the residents in this area.

Most people in the US have always been fortunate enough to have enough of whatever they wanted. When something they like breaks or wears out, they throw it away or buy a new one, and they often don’t even make an attempt to repair an item. They neglect basic maintenance until they damage their belongings beyond repair, and expect that they’ll always have enough.
