My favourite constellation is Draco , also known as,"The Dragon". It's a circumpolar constellation which winds around the Little Dipper. It's star , Thuban , used to be the Pole Star. It used to be a bit larger when the ancient Mesopatamiums gave it large wings which wound around Ursa Major. However the Greek philosopher Tales got rid of them in the sixth century BC. I chose this constellation because it has many myths from many different groups of people ranging from the Greeks to the Romans. I find mythology very interesting so any constellation with a lot of myths are amazing to me.
Since there are many myths behind the constellation I will be choosing the Roman myth since it is my favourite one. They called the dragon Ladon and he guarded

Back in medieval times there was a knight , a very brave , famous knight. However this story focuses on his son Samson. Samson wasn't the bravest of boys, he tried to be like his father in every way possible, but people are different and he was very shy and timid. His parents loved him, his father spent as much time with him as possible , yet he felt like he was a disgrace, a let down in a family of the bravest people on earth. When word was raised around town that there were many dragons near their village he was warned by his mother to go straight to where he needed to go then to come straight home. Wanting to prove himself he went out searching where he found a small dragon , well it was still bigger than him but small in dragon sizes. This dragon was like him , quite timid and shy , nothing like the dragons that people talked about. Samson and the dragon formed an unbelievable bond and he visited every week. However when his father found out about the creature he immediately took to slaying the dragon , in fear that his son would be hurt. The boy was in tears for weeks. The dragon was weighed by the gods , thoughts and deeds taken into consideration and he was sent to the sky to watch over his friend for
I chose the constellation Andromeda because the back story and myths it has really fascinates me! I feel that some of the myths behind the consolations can be rather boring, but with the romance and danger all wrapped into one, I continue going back to it. This constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and is located in the first quadrant of the northern hemisphere. It takes seven-hundred-twenty-two square feet in the sky!
The short story, “The Fifty-First Dragon,” was written by Heywood Brown. He was a newspaper writer during the early 1900’s, working on several major newspapers. He stated by writing stories about sporting events, then moved on to war related stories before finally gaining a column to write his stories in. He has been noted for liberal political views in his essays, although they seem to be somewhat light in this story.
My favorite constellation by far is the Gemini constellation. The Gemini constellation is my favorite because my star sign is Gemini. And it is fairly easy to spot in the night sky, although the best viewing month is in February.
My Favorite Constellation is Hercules. Hercules is the fifth largest constellation in the sky, occupying an area of 1225 square feet in the sky. I've chosen this constellation because I quite enjoy the Greek myth behind it.
I choose to discuss the constellation Draco, or "The Dragon." I choose this constellation because a dragon is perhaps my most beloved and favorite creature of all time, magical or not. This constellation was also featured in my favorite movie of all time, "Dragonheart." Draco was just one of the constellations listed by Ptolemy, a 2nd century astronomer and it is circumpolar, or never setting. Draco consists of fourteen main stars, with its brightest star being y Dra. The constellations lies near Hercules and Ursa Major, in the North.
I have chosen the Perseus Constellation. I chose that contallation because I have always liked the Greek Gods mythology. Perseus, named after the Greek Mythology hero, is a constellation in the Northen Sky. Perseus is bordered by Aries and Taurus to the south, Auriga to the east, Camelopardalis and Cassiopeia to the north, and Andromeda and Triangulum the west.
1. I've chosen the constellation "Draco." I chose this one because it was the constellation that my mother always talked about when I was little. She'd tell me stories about it's stars and she'd always let me stay up late to look at it. Draco is the 8th largest constellation and has 9 stars, the brightest of which is Gamma Draconis. It belongs to the Ursa Major family.
My chosen constellation is Gemini, a constellation of the Zodiac. I chose it because both me and my father, who had an important role in my interest for Astronomy, are Gemini. The constellation of Gemini, which means "twins" in Latin, was discovered by Ptolemy in the second century A.D. and it has 85 stars. The Alpha star is Pollux and the Beta star is Castor, which are the names of the two twin brothers that are associated with Gemini.
I chose the constellation, Orion. It is one of my favorites, because ever since I was little, I was able to find it, and it was cool to me. The constellation depicts a man, holding his shield in front of hi, and sword overhead. It signifies a hunter, attack his prey, especially since he follows other celestial animals, like Lepus, a rabbit, and Taurus, a bull.
The constellation I have chosen to write about is Orion. This is one of the most famous constellations in the night sky. I chose this one because as I stated, it is very famous, and because it is one of those constellations that I have seen many times. Orion is a hunter, so the constellation shows a man holding a club and shield. It is easily recognized by the three stars in a line that form the hunter's belt.
Perhaps my favorite constellation is Lepus, ‘the Hare’. I like the association of Lepus, the hare, with the lunar mythology of China, especially the relationship with the moon rabbit. There is also something haunting about the eternal hunt, the chase that is etched upon the stars of Lepus, the hunter Orion, and his dogs in Greek mythology. Lepus does not represent any major figure in Greek Mythology but it was one of the 48 constellations listed by the ancient astronomer Ptolemy. Today it remains as one of the modern constellations.
This makes him thinks and bonds over the dragon stories from his father used to tell him, showing that not
My favourite costellation is the Aquarius constellation, which is in the Southern Hemisphere during the spring, while in the Northern Hemisphere during the fall. This is my favourite constellation because to me, it is the most beautiful and is one of the most important backgrounds. In my personal opinion, it also has the most meaning to it. The term Aquarius means "Water Bearer" or "Cup Bearer" in Latin.
My favorite constellation happens to be ursa minor. i find ursa minor interesting as it contains the north star polaris which is referred too as a guide through out history by witches and muggles alike. another thing i find interesting about ursa minor is that it is part of one of my favorite mythological tales and is only behind the greek tale of the seasons. i also find it funny the way in the story they attempt to justify why ursa major and minor have long tails even though they are referred to as bears. the story of ursa minor begins with Arcas the son of Callisto.
I choose the constellation Phoenix, I've chosen this constellation because I find the shape intreging. Phoenix constellation lies in the southern sky. It was originally introduced by the Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius from the observations of the Dutch navigators Frederick Houtman and Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser in the late 16th century.Phoenix is a relatively small consolation, but it is the largest among the 12 constellations created and named by Plancius. It was first depicted on his globe in 1598 and later appeared in Johann Bayer’s atlas Uranometria in 1603. Phoenix constellation is easy to see for anyone in Australia and South Africa during Southern Hemisphere summer, but generally can’t be observed by anyone living north of the 40th parallel,
