The Giants have been one of the best teams in baseball for a few years now and it sure didn’t look any different this year, until the second half of the season. The Giants have made it to the postseason three times since 2010 and won the World Series each time. The Giants are somewhat a hit and miss club that is use to inconsistency. Unlike their counterpart, the Dodgers have made it to postseason since the 2013 season including this year, unfortunately, they haven’t been able to get passed the NLCS in any of those years. The Giants are in that same position this year, on the brink of victory or failure. As of today, they are in the second Wild Card spot, but expect there to be quite a bit of shake ups until the postseason starts. The Giants had the best …show more content…
Since the Giants have been able to succeed at the highest level in the postseason for the times that they have gone to the postseason in the most recent year, if they can make it into the playoffs, count on them to be a factor. The biggest problem that they are going to have to face is their last regular season series against the Dodgers. The Dodgers have risen to the occasion since the end of the first half of the season and have played almost as well as the Cubs. The Wild Card race will most likely come down to the final series of the regular season and that series with the Dodgers will determine their fate. The Dodgers will be starting two of their best pitchers in Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill and will finish off the season with Brandon McCarthy. Fortunately, the Giants will start their best pitchers as well. In recent years these games have been decided on the mound and that won’t be any different form this series. Whosever starting pitching can show up, that team will most likely win. Having said that, the Dodgers in my opinion are playing too good and will most likely roll over the ailing Giants. Simply put, the Dodgers are a better team and have been since
Zack Greinke, a pitcher on the Los Angeles Dodgers, is considered by many analysts as the most dominating pitcher in baseball.
The Dodgers share a strong rivelry with the San Francisco Giants, the oldest rivelry in baseball, going all the way back to when both teams were in new york. Both teams moved west for the 1958 season. the Brooklyn and Los Angeles dodgers have appeared in the world series 18 times. while the new york and san Francisco giants have appeared in 20. the dodgers have won 21 national leauge titles; while the Giants hold the record with
The Houston Astros have been making deals to improve their team, and avoid another collapse like the one they had last season. Their bullpen could not finish the year strong after being one of the best in baseball throughout the season. The bullpen, also, collapsed in game four of the ALCS against the eventual champions. The Royals could not hit Lance McCullers, but once he was removed with one out in the seventh inning, Kansas City 's offense got it going.
Chicago sits nearly eight games behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central title race, but they do not need to overtake the league's best team in order to qualify for the postseason. The Cubs currently sit in the National League's second wild card position, where they lead their competition by three and a half
The Giants had many seasons and players to help them be successful. Some of the players included Y.A. Tittle
The biggest winner of this year's baseball season might be Houston and Los Angeles. Pulling the series out to seven games has really impacted the economy of both towns. Plus the excitement of the competition has people humming as many are in a good mood. The games have brought people closer together and created a bond in communities where life seems to be less than predictable. Who knew Dodger fever could be a good thing to be infected with? Now we only need to see who wins this crazy
Right now as of writing this the Yankees are 21-10 tied for the second best record in the MLB with the Redsox at 22-9. Last year theYankees barely got in to the playoffs with the wild card spot. Despite that they went on to the AL championship, and almost made it to the World Series. I believe that the Yankees have a chance to win the World Series, and here’s why.
The Texas Rangers (69-62) try and take the series at Petco Park and face the San Diego Padres (64-68) in the final game of this three game series. This is a huge game for the Rangers because they are headed into an off day tomorrow. If they win, they go into the off day feeling good. They lose, and they have to sit on it for a full day before hitting the field on Friday. The Rangers will turn to Cole Hamels (2-1, 3.89 ERA) and the San Diego Padres will counter with Ian Kennedy (8-12, 3.94 ERA).
Balls were hit, strikes were swung, and outs were cast. One and two and three, and as fast as the inning began, it ended. Those who spectated cheered, and others who watched booed. The home team who was defending now attacked, but just as swift as those before them, they were struck down, only ever hitting their mark once. When the Dodgers reached the plate again, fortune was struck, along with the ball, and away it was sent, beyond the green field of contest, and the enemy team cheered loud and full, for they were ahead in the struggle. The outs continued to add up, and innings continued to be completed. Through a sacrifice of a hit, a run was finally scored for the Giants. Furious exclamation came from the stadium, filling the air with the cheers of the onlookers, but short lived was this joy, for in just the next inning the Dodgers stole back their domination of the field. Before the game was almost finished, only two outs before the Giants were crushed, they swept back with a glorious score which made the onlookers even more feverous than before. With this score, the game was extended further, so a victor could be
The Yankees are in a tight race in the AL East, every win is paramount. With 62
The worst thing the employees at Shady Shoals had to go through were the Jenkinses. Not just because they were loud, obnoxious, and grumpy, but mainly because there were three of them. No one in Bikini Bottom seemed to know why, and it just became accepted amongst everyone. Fortunately, it was relatively easy to tell them all apart. One of the Jenkinses in particular was the most famous around town. He was green, short, fat, and sported big glasses. For an old man in a rest home, Fat Jenkins managed to find his way around. Practically every old chump around town had seen him at least once, whether he was digging for change at the Barg'n Mart or bumping into pillars at the Krusty Krab. Fatty Jenkins was nice to everyone, but at the same time
The 2016 MLB season has seen a lot of great teams rise to the occasion and shine like champions, but only one team will be crowned the champion. We have made it to the final quarter of the season and some teams are nowhere to be found and other teams seem almost ready for the postseason. At the half way mark of the season, teams like the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs, were the favorites, but that has changed. There are new teams in the race like the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Not to mention teams like the Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals that might not be getting as much attention, but are definitely in the conversation for favorites to win the World Series. Unfortunately, a lot of teams have started to decline, maybe because of injuries or simply they haven’t been playing as well as they did in the first half. Teams like the Kansas City Royals were supposed to defend their title, but inevitability fell short of that and are now in 3rd place in the AL Central with 9.5 GB of the Cleveland Indians. There have been many storylines and there will probably be more regarding the rise and fall of teams until we reach the postseason.
think that was a great name. I will call them losers from now on. And we’ll
There a lot of questions still unanswered from the two of these sides. Was Jared Goff worth it? Can Kaepernick become the #1 QB for the 49ers again? Is the Ram’s defense good enough to make them a competitive team this year? Can Chip Kelly make this 49ers team an offensive team again? Are either of these teams going to make any noise during this season? The questions go on and on, but what is important, is how these teams will play against the teams in their division more than anything else. If any year, this would be the year that either one of these teams can get in front of two of the best teams in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks are going through a transitioning year with the retirement of Marshawn Lynch and offensive drama with players like Jimmy Graham. Arizona is becoming an aging team with veteran leaders like Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald. The Rams are the youngest team in the NFL and have some of the most exciting talents on the team including Jared Goff and Todd Gurley. The 49ers have seen a number of exciting changes that look to make them a formative offensive team, but they will be lacking on defense. The combination of Chip Kelly and his offensive playing style, he might turn the 49ers into an exciting team
Did you look at the moon in the night sky and think how is I made or how did it get there? Well nothing it proven this far in life, but there are many theories, such as the fission theory, sister theory, capture theory, and the giant impacted theory. Three of the theories have been discounted because when discussion scientists realized that it can't be true. The one Theory that is still widely excepted today is the giant impact theory. I believe the giant impacted theory is in fact true based on the evidence rather than other theories because they were concluded to be wrong and evidence supports why they don't make
