The Bible was the first book printed when the printing press was invented, not to mention it has been printed in almost every language. Since first written, the Bible has been the world's greatest bestseller year after year. Worldwide organizations and associations have been formed because of this book and its message.

With just shy of four trillion copies the number of Bibles surpasses its closest competitor by over three trillion copies. Why is it that so many love this old book? The answer is simple, yet its truth is complex—so complex that it is impossible to fully describe the beauty or the power of it.

When looking at the traditions of Catholic Social Teachings, people think that they must use the teachings of the ancient world and look at the bible word for word.
