The Hunger Games revolves around a dystopian society, which requires young adults and teenagers to act as “tributes” from each of their districts. One male and one female from the twelve districts are randomly chosen or either volunteered. A total of twenty-four tributes demonstrate their skills as they clash against one another and only one can be crown the victor. The government holds these Hunger Games to end wars and disputes amongst the different districts, also it brings in revenue to the winner’s district. Many first-time viewers will question why young people must kill one another?
