Student's accountability:
For students at young age to feel the sense of responsibility and the results of their actions is where an optimal system exist.
These results are collected from a range of data sources such as: •Summative assessments
•Progress on individualized growth objectives
•Student-centered evidence of learning
•Standardized tests
• End-of-course tests
• College-readiness tests •Alternative assessments for students with special needs (ASCD, policy points, 2013)
As for addressing the states, where the welfare system is followed; it is important to be hands on when it comes to establishing an optimal educational system, each student in a public school should be provided with books up to the age of 18.

• Establishing events to post students outcomes and projects where they can have the opportunity to express themselves in front of juries, parents and other colleagues such as science fair and media day.
Other elements mentioned in the ASCD (policy points, 2013)
• Report cards that shows a chart of the student's developments and areas of required improvements, comments added by each subject teacher that emphasizes on student's behaviors and actions, as well as mentioning the results of standardized testing. • School climate surveys circulated to students and parents with the opportunity of leaving comments for specific concerns or suggestions. • A well-rounded curriculum that addresses the system's standards, curriculum objectives and national standards. • Advanced courses for skilled students to nurture their abilities in depth. • Extracurricular activities, where students can share their talents with others, learn new skills such as sports, arts and science activities.
"Educators must stop lamenting the challenges of accountability and start making improvements."(Beyond the Rock and the Hard Place, Craig Jerald)
State
As schools were faced with these daunting expectations to meet standards, state agencies, school boards, and administration all had to re-evaluate current practices, not only in the form of what should be taught, but how it should be taught (Performance Evaluation Advisory Council, n.d.). In more appropriate terms,
These progress reports will highlight any strengths and weakness the children may have, identifying any children that may need additional support, so helping the teacher with their future planning.
While standards and assessments tell us whether students are gaining the skills and knowledge they need, accountability systems say that if they aren’t, schools and districts have to take steps to improve. This expectation of action is critical if we want all students to graduate high school ready for whatever they wish to do next – be it attend college, train for a job that will allow them to support a
The Washington Post published the story “2015 Superintendent of the Year: High-stakes testing is the ‘fool’s gold’ of accountability” by Valerie Strauss on August 27 about one superintendent’s discontent with constant “high stakes testing”. Strauss was covering the story of man who was named the “2015 American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent of the Year”, Philip D. Lanoue who is the superintendent of the Clarke County School District in Georgia, which is one of the most impecunious districts in the state. Lanoue believes that the constant pattern of standardized testing in schools is completely different from what he refers to as actual “meaningful assessment” and considers the tests to be unbeneficial for students.

In society, today education plays a vital role for many individuals and teachers play an even more influential role for a student’s future. The 21st century is bringing many new and innovated ways for teachers to communicate and educate in more effective ways than ever before. Despite the multitude advancements, there has been an issue still in the spotlight: teacher accountability. In recent years the United States has significantly fallen behind many of its superpower competitors in education bringing the government quick to impend a change by ranking teachers to improve their accountability however ranking teachers will not improve their accountability because teaching is a craft that cannot be summed up into a rank or grade letter with

I would like to begin by saying that the Iris center is and was created to help students improve in their education. In this particular case study, Fostering Student Accountability For Classroom Work, was designed and created to help people in the education system such as teachers, administrators, principals, and other educational contributors that are involved in the daily life of a student at the school. Now, when reading case study 2 level b, it shows and displays the focus on making it known on how to and managing having the students’ complete missed assignments or homework. When reading over the case study regarding the student named Joe in which the study shows that he misses and doesn’t complete assignments on time or forgets to do them.
Although testing has been around for a long time, I instinctively believe that testing doesn’t give a clear picture of student’s achievement. Thus, I make strong connection to the following quote: “A central question has been whether accountability policies and standardized testing helping or harming those children the polices are most often designed to serve” (Skrla, p.11). For instance, when I analyzed and interpreted the TAPR of Richard J Wilson Elementary school, I found valuable information that all teachers should know at the beginning of every school year. Specifically, when I examined the categories of testing and the students’ performance on individual TEKS. This practice would allow teachers to have a clear picture of what exact skills and content knowledge students are expected to achieve throughout the school year.
system─ is on results. And while this focus on results is understandable (see, e.g., Schmoker, 1999, 2001), it is also important to consider the means by which the ends are achieved. The questions emerged: What was the effect of a political decision─ to demand public school accountability─ on pedagogical decision making? How might the demands of a new testing program affect how teacher teach and how children are expected to learn?
The report card is an old traditional way of communication between the teachers and the parents on how their kids are doing in their classes. It is one of the biggest innovations from the teachers to the parent for them to respond back to the teachers in any kind of way, it’s an easy and very understandable way to communicate. The report card has information on the child’s learning strength and learning styles. Besides the report card there are many more ways to communicate. The most common and effective way is through writing. Teachers have to be clear and format and content. Make is so parents will understand it.
Extra-curricular activities perform by students that fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school or university education. An extra-curricular activity exists at all levels of education. Such activities are generally voluntary as opposed mandatory, none paying; social, philanthropic as opposed to scholastic and open involve others of the same age. Students often organize and direct
The purpose of this study is to identify the students’ profile in terms of age, gender, family income, parents’ educational attainment, and grades for the last school year attended. It also needs to identify the school climate condition that provides school to understand the working condition and leadership, instructional focus and physical environment.
