The Kingdom of Morocco, is located on the Northwestern coast Africa and it’s the first country to recognize the sovereignty of the United States in 1777. As Morocco was, and still is, a constitutional monarchy, America created a system that established itself based on federalism, distributing power equally among the original 13 states. As Morocco was, and still is, a constitutional monarchy, America made a system that established itself based on federalism, equally distributing power among the original 13 states. A written constitution formed the glue between the three branches of power – the legislative, the judicial and the executive. In Morocco, there is in fact no written constitution, despite the fact that there is a constitution, consisting of numerous sources and not only one like in the USA. The American Constitution is flexible as it has Amendments added to it, making it possible to change as time goes by.
The Kingdom of Morocco, has a unitary form of government in which there are no states. As well as a constitutional democracy form of government wherein the country is ruled by king Mohammed6 and has absolute control of the country. Nonetheless, the king follows the constitution and uses the help of the prime minister. The voting age in Morocco is 18, though the citizens can 't vote for their king since Morocco has a constitutional monarchy. However, the citizens are allowed to vote for the other people in the government that assist in running the
The American government was founded in 1989, and the basic concept behind the formation is federalism, in which power is shared among state and federal governments and this concept was introduced by the formation of constitution (a document) in which the powers of each division had been described. The major purpose of introducing the constitution was to protect the rights of civilians. The expansion has been encountered in federal government’s powers since the civil war of United States. The constitution of America is heavily based on federal government. The federal government has been separated in three branches judicial branch, legislative, and executive branch.
Public worship by adherents of religions other than Islam is forbidden. Finally a major difference between Saudi Arabia and the United States is the ruling of government. In the United States, the type of government is an example of a democracy of the representative or indirect type. The citizens have the opportunity to choose representatives of their states by electing them. The representatives then take the citizen’s view to vote on the election of the president. The government in Saudi Arabia is a Monarchy. The head is a king, whose eldest son succeeds him in the event of his death. The king can also select an heir to his throne. The monarchy is hereditary. Unlike in the United States government, the citizens of Saudi Arabia do not hold elections to choose their king.
In the social aspect, I also find a similarity in the division of the people, especially among the high class/politicians. For both revolutions, there has been people from powerful and wealthy positions who has admitted the injustices and are supporting the revolution. Moreover, there are also similarities between the monarchs or, in our case the president. For both revolutions, the monarch/president has decided to use force or was at least planning to use force to suppress the protests. The consequence of this decision of the monarch/president was similar as well. The force had only angered the people more and failed in suppressing them.
In conclusion, the written constitution was created in the United States to help provide a healthy environment. Each government is limited on what they are entitled to do and citizens understand their rights regardless of the situation that they are in. In addition, United Kingdom has unique ways to establish laws because lawmakers are able to create new policies without going through the process as the United
Each country in the world needs some form of government to establish how they want their country to be run. Over the years many countries have changed their government to fit the present day. The United States has had two different forms of documents in their time of being a country.
The United States of America has been working from the beginning to form a government that works for us. On the way we have had many different documents to help control our government. Two of these are the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution. There are many differences between them both, from what was sovereign under them to how they can be amended.
Watching a video of a dance piece called “The Moroccan Project,” choreographed by Alonzo King was quite impressive. Living in San Francisco and taking dance classes brought me to Lines Ballet which is King’s dance studio. I have seen a great deal of different types of dance at the studio waiting for my Ballet classes and there are some great dancers. It comes as no surprise that Alonzo would have such great dancers. It appears that Alonzo King is exploring different cultures in dance in Contemporary Ballet. His near-perfect choreography is articulate, passionate, and graceful- he brings diversity in dance to San Francisco and other parts of the world. This piece articulates the expression of the two dancers coming together yet dancing apart at times- it is a fusion of several different types of dances into one using video editing to create a story about the coming together of two individuals.
The 1952 constitution is the most recent document that has increased executive responsibility. Islam is the official religion, and Jordan is declared to be part of the Arab ummah (“nation”). “Jordan is divided into 12 administrative muḥāfaẓāt (governorates), which in turn are divided into districts and subdistricts, each of which is headed by an official appointed by the minister of the interior.” All the cities and towns have a mayor which it represents. The king remains as the country’s ultimate authority and wields power over the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
Morocco is rich in mineral deposits and the third largest phosphate rock producers. Morocco has vast reserves of phosphate rocks, copper, cobalt, anthracite coal, silver, gold, iron ore, zinc, manganese etc. The quality of water in the areas surrounding mining sites is compromised during and after the mining with harmful agents such as Arsenic (As), Lead (Pb), Zinc(Zn) etc.Due to this water pollution and the fact that water resources are limited, a large number of people and livestock in villages close to the mining sites are affected with serious life threatening diseases. In such areas thirty percent of the wastewater that is untreated is discharged directly into natural water bodies. As an example, the Sebou basin that constitutes
Perhaps no other culture has intrigued the human imagination as that of ancient Egypt. From the Ancient Greeks, who treated Egypt with venerable respect, to Alexander the Great, and Napoleon, who felt it was imperative to go there, few other cultures have represented so much of universal value to all humans. The purpose of this paper is to present a brief survey of the ancient New Kingdom of Egypt. An emphasis on scholarly views will focus on culture, agriculture, Nubian Pharaohs, religion, and war. Of particular interest is the manner in which this historical knowledge is repeatedly made relevant in today’s world.
After the Revolutionary War, the thirteen colonies were in bad shape and they needed more of a structured government, because the British system was not good enough for them. 55 state delegates, including George Washington, James Madison, and Benjamin Franklin then decided to create the Constitution. The United States Constitution is a document that was made to help America’s government and to authorize the basic rights of American citizens. It was signed on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention. The Constitutional Convention was made to examine and fix the weak government that remained under the Articles of Confederation. The Constitutional Convention is also what made the Constitution. The Constitution is what established the American government and America’s fundamental law, and it assured certain basic rights for American citizens.
In a constitutional monarchy, all the citizens have voting rights and the king or queen act as a celebrity. In a constitutional monarchy everyone gets to vote so the king or queen don’t make all the decisions by themselves. Some countries that live under some form of monarchy are: The United Kingdom, Monaco, Malaysia, Liechtenstein, Jordan, Sweden, Thailand, and Holy
United States has always been described as the land of opportunity and freedom. Most people who visit America are more likely to stay due to its beauty and the opportunities that are available to succeed, so I was confident than I would be spending most of my life here. By the time I got the U.S, school was about to start. I finished 7th grade before I came to the United States, so I was supposed to be in 8th grade once school starts; however, the principle of the middle school that I was going to attend stated that I was too young to advance to 8th grade; therefore, I have to repeat 7th grade. When I started school, I had to face many challenges since I did not speak English. During the first year of school, I have struggled a lot thought out my classes especially in my English class. Since I did not understand English, I did not understand what my teachers were saying so it was impossible for me to complete the assigned tasks and perform well in class. This situation is basically similar to an American student taking advanced Spanish class for the first time and telling him/her to pass the class without knowing any Spanish at
The monarchy of England is dominant and remains the same because the power is within the royal family. However, England is part of a party voting system. Citizens over the age of eighteen are able to vote in England. The House of Commons and the House are Lords are determined by the electoral voting systems. Similar to the United States, representatives are elected upon.
With the downfall of the absolute monarchy, and the beheading of King Louis XVI, France began to fall apart because of the lack of leadership and not having chain of command. What killed the monarchy was the inability to create representative institutions in which the state could execute its program of reform.(p 33) The people of France received what they asked for, and achieved one of their goals, but it lead to bureaucratic efficiency, the idea of letting terror take over. The cycle of violence was seen as never ending for the citizens of France. The London Times article also talks of mobs appearing in the city, and during this revolution gang life was starting to take control of the city. These gangs would order around, and if you did not
