Marijuana legalization is a controversial issue that is going on all around the world. The current debate is “Should Marijuana Use Be Legalized.” With the media constantly discussing the debate of why marijuana should be legalized, it’s not surprising that people have already chosen their respected side. There are many reasons why marijuana should be legalized. First, medical marijuana is used on patients with life threatening illness. Medical marijuana relieves their pain and suffering without any side effects. Second, taxing the sale of recreational marijuana is a great way to pull in revenue for state. Also, if marijuana becomes legal it would lower the crime rate of homicides, robberies, and other violent offenses. It would also have a dramatic decline on marijuana arrest. And are just a few reasons why marijuana should be legalized in the United States of America.
Before we go into detail about why marijuana should be legalized, let’s take a step back to talk about “What exactly is marijuana.” Marijuana is a cannabis which means it’s a genus of a flowering plant. There are three different cannabis species sativa, indica, and ruderalis. Sativa grow tall and thin, while Indica grow short and wide. Indica is best known for its very effective overall pain relief.
