There were many reasons of why world war one was started but there was very few factors on what actually caused it,So today am going to talk about the main factors on what sparked world war 1 up, and also today i'll be talking about why the United States decided to join into the war. So what first caused the spark of world war one is the assassination of the Archduke Franz, and the group of terrorist that wanted to kill him was called the Black Hand that sent out someone to kill him, and that right there is what caused the very beginning of World War one. But the assassination of the Archduke was not the only reason why world war one has started but there was plenty of other reasons for example theres a acronym that helps me remember it which is M.A.I.N., and what it stands for is Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism. But anyways Germany and France started world war one and decided to fight so it goes on and the United states want nothing to do with the war except the U.S. sees a opportunity to make money and they sell guns, ammo, and resources to both sides and they …show more content…
So also those are the two reason why the united states has joined World War I. But in conclusion we have lost a lot of lives and during the process of war we had to give up a lot of resources and donate food and supply to war, while women took the mens jobs and supported their family on their own while the men are at
World War I was a tragic episode in European history. As with most wars, there were some causes that led to this event. A few of these causes were militarism, alliances, and imperialism. The first spark of the war was on June 28, 1914 when the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated by a Serbian nationalist group called the Black Hand. The Austrian leaders demanded an apology from Serbia, they got upset and Russia said they would help Serbia. With no apology and the threat of Russia, on June 28 Austria-Hungary declared war on them; Russia in return declared war on Austria-Hungary. Germany declared war on Russia, France on both Germany and Austria-Hungary. Finally Britain had joined France and Russia, then all of Europe was at war.
World War One started in 1914 and ended in 1918. There were a variety of underlying causes of World War One. Starting with the assassination of Archduke was a cause of the war. Also the alliance system caused many problems in the long run of the war. Another cause that was big was that the people started to believe that war was everything in life (DBQ Project Essay Background). Another big cause of the war was, countries building up their armies and navies, so they could be ready to attack at any given moment (DBQ Project Doc 7).
The first cause of World War One was due to militarism. World War One was the result of too much military power. Britain had a stronger military power (Royal Navy) because it had the highest per capita expenditures. The desire for military power was high because everyone was building their armies up to
There are many reasons why World War One occurred in 1914, many are complex and remain controversial which is why the matter has been disputed to this day by historians all over the world. My theory is that a lot of those reasons and the trigger factor all links to one thing; the alliance system. The alliance system is what made countries oppose each other and become rivals making it the most significant factor. It had an impact on who supported who when Duke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. This was only the spark that started war in Europe; there were long term causes that contributed to the war and were the origins. This answer will explain the causes focusing on how they contributed to World War One and what the important links are
World War one, also known as the “great war” was directly caused by the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. What you may not know is that the root causes to World War one were Nationalism, Militarism, and Alliances. Not only do they have a huge role in starting the war, but also making sure the war was finished.
In 1919, Treaty of Versailles was made after the World War I. Germany and Austria-Hungary was blamed for the Great War and was imposed financial debts and territorial dismemberment on them. Germans could not afford the huge debts and during the 1920s the Great Depression which started in the USA impacted the economies of the whole world. There was high unemployment and the prices of daily necessities were high. The German government was distrusted. People chose to believe a man Adolf Hitler with his extreme ideas, and Racism that promised to make Germany stand up again. After Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany in January 1933, he had secretly built up a military and
There were many reasons as to why World War I began. According to Document 2 the event that started World War I was the death of the Archduke of Austria-Hungarian, Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Bashia. When asked who started it, many people will turn and point to someone else in the room. But when asked what started World War I people point to many different causes and countries. Little bit of background, World War I started in 1914 and ended in 1918. Many countries in Europe were involved and there were many casualties throughout the war. The one remaining question is what exactly was the underlying cause of World War I? There are three things that could have possibly been the cause of the war: militarism, imperialism, or alliances. These next three paragraphs will discuss, in order from least to most accusable, how they caused the war.
During world war one there were many things the came to the start of it. Countries allied together, leaders were blamed for pushing their people to war. Armies went to action starting the wars and everyone blamed each other for it.The way people thought that war was good at the time. All these causes that could have lead to it. Many can argue that nationalism was the cause or alliances etc. However, Militarism was the underlying cause in World War 1.
One underlying cause of World War 1 was the alliance systems. There were two major alliances. The triple entente and the triple alliance (Document A). The triple entente consisted of Russia, United Kingdom, and France. The triple alliance consisted of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and italy. Alliances were quick to support their allies (Document B). Each country had a different point of view of who started the war. So this created a chain reaction (Document B). Those are a few ways alliance systems caused World War 1.
One of the major causes of WW1 was Alliance. Alliance is when a country becomes friend with another country and supports each other. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, Russia got involved to defend Serbia. Germany seeing Russia mobilizing, declared war on Russia. France was then drawn in against Germany and Austria-Hungary. Germany attacked France through Belgium pulling Britain into war. Document 2 states, “members
Throughout history there has been competition for resources and domination. This competition has led to conflicts that have caused destruction, social disruptions and death. World War I was no exception to this competition. World War I was known as the war to end all wars and was caused by a combination of factors. Some causes of World War I was nationalism, imperialism, militarism, and the main cause which was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by Gavrilo Princip of Serbia. While the United States attempted to remain neutral and stay out of the war, Germany choose actions that gave the U.S. no choice but to enter and help their Allies defeat the other powers.
What started World War One and the events that drew the United States in to it? A young man by the name of Gavrilo Princip shot and killed the archduke heir to the Austrian throne, Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie at point blank range. Princip actions cause an outrage among the Europeans which escalated the bitter freud with the Serbian and the Austro-Hungarians. The disputes over and many other issues lead to the Austro-Hungarians and its German ally declaring war on Serbia. The Russians allied with the Serbians. With this move the Germans declared war on both Russia and France. During the conflict, the Germans drew the British in the war by using parts of Britain land to reach its enemy. By doing this Germany was disrespecting British
Before World War 1 began there were many conflicts between many countries, these conflicts are what eventually led to the war. Nationalism lead to World War 1 for reasons people believed they needed to fight for their country, many people who weren’t fighting wanted to support their soldiers, and many soldiers felt as if they couldn’t back out of the war. Militarism was a cause because each country was building up their weapons and ammunition, as well as building up their armies. Finally Kaiser Wilhelm II was a cause because he had a very strong hate towards Britain, he was a very aggressive leader and he wanted Germany to be the number one country. Nationalism, militarism and Kaiser Wilhelm II were the three main causes of World War 1.
