At first the colonist was grateful to be under British rule. The French and Indian War was costly for King George III and there was a big debt to be paid. The King decided to impose a tax on the colonist to receive his money back form the cost of the supplies he used for the army and colonist. The colonist was very angry for imposing such a tax without their permission. Many felt that they were entitled to received supplies that where normally free. Money was one of the major causes of the Revolutionary War. Acts imposed on colonist was another caused for the war as well. The Quartering Act allowed British soldiers to stay at the colonist home. Colonist feared the British solders because of the Boston Massacre and were afraid for their children
