In literature Marxist approach is actually based on the philosophy of Karl Marx (a German philosopher and economist). The main view point was about the means of manufacture in civilization controlled the society—whoever owned the factories “owned” the culture. This idea was called “dialectical materialism,” and Marx sensed that the history of the world was leading toward a socialist culture. From his point of view, the means of manufacture (i.e., the basis of society) would be placed in the hands of the crowds who actually operated production, not in the hands those few who owned it. It was a depraved version of this philosophy that was at the heart of the Soviet Union. Marxism was also the rallying cry of the poor and worried all over the world. To read a work from a Marxist viewpoint, one must recognize that Marxism asserts that literature is an image of culture, and that culture can be affected by literature. Marx deal with the political subconscious. Marx supposed that domination exists in the political subliminal of a society—social poking orders are inherent to any group of people.
