It all started mid January a few years back. My father asked me if I wanted to go to an Atlanta Hawks basketball game because, the Miami Heat would be in town to play. So of-course I said yes! He ended up getting four tickets through his company which meant Amazing seats that were pretty much court side. Dad told me I could invite anyone I wanted and that he was inviting my friend Anthony’s Dad Tony. Tony was quite the character not one you'd look up to but cool to hangout with. He was about a foot shorter than me, bald, and couldn't say no to a drink. The next day in weight training I asked my buddy Rj if he was down to go to the Hawks vs Heat game in which he uttered the obvious yes. So a Few weeks pass highly anticipating the big game the big night finally arrives on Saturday. On Friday Rj caught a ride home with me and we were going to hang out at my house. We spent most on the night up late on the Xbox 360 playing …show more content…
It was slam packed but luckily we got through security fairly quick. We sat down and watched the game go back and forth the lead switching from team to team. We all got hungry so we headed to the concessions stands and all the card readers were messed up. This caused an astronomical line at the ATM which we were sadly in. The only place the card machine was working was the Royal Crown bar which Tony had went and got his fair share of drinks. Eventually we decided to go sit back down and finish the game. The heat won by a landslide which came to no surprise. Then we made the pilgrimage back to Tonys home. Driving back we stopped and Hooters to eat because it was the only place open at midnight around where we were. We left at 1 am and got to Tonys house to drop him off about 30 minutes later. We we got there he said , ”hey man whatcha think about the car?“ then I told him I loved it. He then asked me over and over again if i wanted to drive it I finally gave in. I grabbed his
Fans rushing in just to see their home team take on a less than sub par team, the Brooklyn Nets. The first sense that struck me as I remember was smelling the aroma of over priced nachos and other cuisine I didn’t even know they sold at a basketball game. As bad as I wanted to get to my seats I couldn’t resist exploring the stadium just so I could get a feel of every experience that has been held at this venue. As I arrived to my seats I began to see everyone standing as my Lakers team jogged their way to the court to warm up. I don’t think I sat the whole warm up with just so much enthusiasm and energy running through my legs I could not sit and miss one moment of just seeing warm up lay-ups; I knew this game was going to be one to remember. Once tip off was under way I remember center Andrew Bynum tip the ball away from Nets center Brook Lopez with ease. I looked down the court and I got a glimpse of two of my favorite actors from a far , Adam Sandlar and Jack Nicholson, both sitting in front row seats. As the game continued this was clearly a no challenge for my team. We held a 15 point lead through most of the game. Each of Kobe Bryant’s 27 points I hold in memory forever as he would whistle down each Net player with ease. Fading away to create space, he was a beautiful basketball mystro. I left feeling as if I never wanted that night to end, it was one memory I will hold on to for
“Come on guys,” I yelled. I heard the screech of the referee’s whistle. Rushing to the bench, I heard the referee call out “Timeout, Heat.” Everything was on the line and our team’s championship hopes, being foremost on our team’s minds, was all coach could scream about. “I’m not going to tell you how to play basketball,” he yelled out. “That’s your job. I’m just going to say that right now, to us, this is a championship game. If we win this, we move on to the championship. If not, at least let us fall valiantly.” That got the whole team riled up as we rushed back onto the court. The crowd, encouraging as always, yelled out their approval on the fact that we were giving it our all. With just sixteen seconds left in the game and our team down by four, something special had to happen or we were done for the season.
I walked to it, and all the sudden I was in a white jersey, and it read elite. The arena was wooden floor, and many many fans were filling the seats. I was wondering still where I was. I seen many of the NBA superstars like Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, and Lebron James on the sideline seats. My name was finally called over from somewhere. It was the bench with all other white jerseys in a huddle. I ran over to the huddle, and seen many of the NBA rookies like D 'angelo Russell, Karl Anthony Towns, and Jahlil Okafor. I gathered in the huddle, and our coach was speaking about our game plan. I was so confused on where I was still. Until D 'angelo Russell announced, “welcome to my career!” My eyes opened so wide with a surprised face. The scoreboard went off which told us the game was about to begin.
Alright fantasy basketball fans it’s time to for my latest installment of my GF2 team previews. In my latest NBA preview we’re going to take a closer look at a very intriguing team, the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans made waves last season and are expected to be even better this year. Star power forward Anthony Davis is by far my favorite guy this year for fantasy, so we’ll stray away from discussing his absolute greatness. We’re going to look at three guys who I have rostered over the last few years who all have tremendous upside.
Quo the confetti, the screaming fans, the jumping and cheering. This moment, I never thought would happen, I ran out of my house and down to Lancaster Avenue. The street was closed, and already around two hundred people were screaming and cheering. The news was already there live streaming the celebration and the excitment. Not only was this a win for VIllanova but a win for Philadelphia and a huge win for my family who has been fans forever.
I was just sitting at home one day, when my mom’s phone buzzed. I was curious to see what it was, how I normally am. At first sight, I saw that it was a text from Tammy Skinner, My friend Tyler’s mom. I was really excited because it was from Tammy at first, but then I went crazy when I discovered that he was inviting me to go to a Minnesota Timberwolves game with him for his birthday! I was hoping that I could go, and my mom said that I could! I was going to my first NBA game, and I couldn’t believe it! In my head, I was thinking “Is this really happening?” Now, I am a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, but I still like the Timberwolves, and I didn’t care at all, because I was going to a NBA game. The Timberwolves
Tonight, the Atlanta Falcons will take on the Miami Dolphins in the third preseason game of the year. It has become an NFL tradition to designate the third preseason game as a dress rehearsal for the starting players. So tonight, expect the Dolphins and Falcons starters to play for at least the first half.
2016 was the year that the craziest free agency signing happened in NBA history. Kevin Durant decided to join the Golden State Warriors. This is the team that had just broke the record for most wins in a season and after that season they add the second-best player in the NBA. His decision to sign with them put a huge target on his back, because a lot of NBA fans including myself considered the move weak. Some fans even said that it was the same thing LeBron did in 2010; leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to sign with the Miami Heat. There are a few things that are similar between the two, but I completely disagree with the people who think that it’s the same. Kevin Durant signing with the Warriors is worse than LeBron signing with the Heat.
We were finally in North California after 6 hours of drive. We were a little bit behind in our schedule, because we had booked tickets to a basketball game, so instead driving to our motel, we drove straight to East Trade Street to see the game. None of us had never been to a match before, so it was a little bit confusing about to get into the stadium, but we did have a great and the people here, were so loud, but the match was so funny, but loud. We spent 47 dollars on the tickets. The game ended with 115 to Chicago Bulls and 109 to Charlotte Hornets. Whether you’re looking for art, music, shopping or parks, Charlotte is right place for exploring new things. On our way to the motel, we stopped by the Green, walked through the park and took
I was glued at the tv, watching game seven of the NBA finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors were tied at 89 with 1:05 left on the clock. The Cavaliers had the ball after a clutch block by Lebron James. Kyrie Irving was dribbling the ball down the court to the three point. Everyone knew that this possession would make or break these two teams while series and season.
There was just something about her, as soon as I laid my eyes on her I just knew I fell in love. I guess it’s true what they say you can fall in love at first sight. But at first I felt like I just wasn't good enough for her, I felt like if I even tried I would just embarrass myself. But the way she just worked on that hardwood floor just gave me goosebumps and shivers going down my spine. When I isolate myself with her four countless hours it made me forget about everyone else in this world it felt like we were the only ones.
I remember when I used to work for the Phoenix Suns and I thought that it was the most amazing job in the world and that I was on top of the world cause I practically had my dream job while only being a teenager in High school. I worked with the Suns for the entire 2015-16 season and also with the Phoenix Mercury during that summer. I had some of my best experiences working there and also met some of my closest friends too. Just this past year I was recently let go from the team. After a while I came to learn to appreciate more in life and to just live life, I learned that nothing is forever and to not look too far ahead into the future and to just appreciate every moment you have with the people around you because you never know what tomorrow
It is 12 am and my team and I are playing against the Golden State Warriors.
Once upon a time there was a librarian who loved penguins, in fact he had a whole zoo of them. He almost loved them as he loved books. One day he decided he could make the penguins play basketball, and he was right. They were amazing and won every game they played. Eventually though, the penguins were moved to a zoo in Miami, and they were extremely unhappy. All they wanted to do was to play basketball which was against the zoo rules, but ball was life to them. They needed to figure out a plan, and they did. They were going to join the Miami Heat, after they read a poster that said “Miami heat tryouts”. The Penguins would wait until night to leave the zoo, otherwise their plan wouldn't work.
December 25, 2014 that was the day. It was the day that a little frenchie was brought into my life. Around 2:30 A.M., there he was by the door standing with a big red bow tied around his neck. You would think coming up with a name is easy in reality it isn’t. Two days later, we finally came up with a name, Tony Montana. Tony is the nicest with a very big heart. He’s very friendly and can be as playful as a child at a park. He’s very lovable, always loves to be by your side. Sometimes, he can get a little too crazy and starts running around the whole house like a mouse being chased by a cat. My family and I have a very close relationship with Tony. Tony is like a brother to me.
