While reading and learning more about creator language i learned that i do not use creator language. If anything i use my inner critic the more than anything. I find myself blaming myself more that i blame others, or even trying to find a solution to my problem. For example sometimes during math class last year i would be in class not off course, paying attention and when the facilitator gives us class work sometimes i just blank out even if i have notes, and i will start thinking negative thoughts about myself. For the purpose of this essay I will be considering Nils Christie’s (1986) concept of the ‘ideal victim’. In considering this concept, I will discuss what is meant by an ‘ideal victim’ and will also be focusing on the high profile Australian criminal case of Anita Cobby in Blacktown on 2nd of February 1986.
