On defense, the Patriots have one of the best linebacking corps in the league. Headlined by run-stuffer Dont’a Hightower and swiss army knife Jamie Collins, New England’s group of linebackers is elite. Adding Terrance Knighton to former first-round pick Malcom Brown makes a scary interior defensive line. There’s a ton of talent on the pass rushing front, as well as in the defensive backfield, so as a whole, New England’s defense should rank in the top 10 next season.

They have an elite defense, ranking in the top six of each statistical category for team defense. They have the best defensive line with Chris Long, Aaron Donald, and Robert Quinn. Their secondary is one of the best in the game, routinely shutting down opposing teams passing games.

It appears though for this season the pieces are beginning to fall into place for Peters’ vision of this team. Their level of play over the past few games has been as high as it has ever been in recent years, as the team as a whole is able to play effectively in all ends.

One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Atlanta Falcons 24-15, thanks to a tremendous performance from the defense, which shutdown the NFL's most prolific offense.

The Eagles set record numbers in Southern California and Azoff says the numbers can't be broken(Waddell,2005). The Eagles had set numbers in Southern California that can’t be broken.

On Thursday night, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-0 behind a fantastic performance from the defense. Despite, the defense forcing Steelers quarterback Landry Jones into four interceptions, they could not escape the injury bug.

Opening the year with 100-1 Super Bowl odds, the Los Angeles Rams first year under head coach Sean McVay will certainly go down as a successful one, despite what the team may or may not accomplish come playoff time. Through 12 games, it’s clear that the presence and play calling of McVay has been far superior to that of Jeff Fischer — the difference being night and day.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the potential to become a powerhouse in the AFC South within the next few years. The Jaguars are loaded with potential throughout their entire roster. They already have their franchise quarterback in Blake Bortles. Although Bortles struggled last year, he still possesses extraordinary qualities and intangibles that will continue to develop and help him blossom into a superstar. Bortles set the franchise record for passing touchdowns in Jaguars history in 2015 with 35 touchdowns. The potential in Bortles is obvious, and the Jaguars are in a great position with him under center for the future.

Currently, the Phillies are 26-24, which is good for third place in the NL East. For the Phillies to even have this record at this point, it's a testament to manager Pete Mackanin and the roster new General Manager Matt Klentak assembled in the offseason. Klentak put the right pieces together and Mackanin has done a great job managing the current talent that he has.

Throughout this season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been the proverbial underdogs as many analysts did not believe that they were a good football team. Despite losing second-year quarterback Carson Wentz in Week 14 the Eagles proved their doubters wrong and clinched the NFC's number one seed behind veteran backup Nick Foles.

Last Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles opened up the 2016 regular season with a dominating 29-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. While much the talk after the game was about rookie quarterback Carson Wentz's impressive debut, the Eagles dominated the Browns in all three phases of the game.

Unfortunately for the Phillies, they finished below the Braves last year in the NL East. Philadelphia wasn’t only last in the division, the Phillies also had the worst record in MLB at 63-99. However, the dreadful season earned Philadelphia the first pick in this year’s MLB Draft in June.

The Phillies rebuild began when they finally decided to dismantle the old core that won the World Series in 2008. From that title team, the Phillies traded the middle infielders who began their careers with the organization. Philadelphia traded shortstop Jimmy Rollins after the 2014 season and second baseman Chase Utley in August of last season. Both players were traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers and brought back a few pitching prospects. The Phillies biggest return came from trading pitcher Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers in an eight-player deal at the deadline last year. Philadelphia sent Hamels and reliever Jake Diekman to the Rangers for pitchers Matt Harrison and Jake Thompson, minor league pitching prospects Jared Eickhoff and Alec Asher, catcher Jorge Alfaro and outfielder Nick Williams. However, Harrison has battled back issues, so his castoff was merely a way for the Rangers to get the contract off their books.

As this offseason began, it was new Phillies general manager Matt Klentak's job to continue the rebuild. Klentak’s first move was trading closer Ken Giles and shortstop Jonathan Arauz to the Houston Astros for former No. 1 overall pick Mark Appel and pitchers Thomas Eshelman, Brett Oberholtzer, Vincent Velasquez and Harold Arauz. The Phillies’ deals have replenished their farm system after years of being trade deadline buyers depleted it. While most of their prospects continue to develop in the minor leagues, a few could contribute to the Phillies this year.

One Thursday, afternoon in Philadelphia, Matt, a 25 year old man, was driving down to his friend John’s house to see the Eagles play their first game of the season. The Eagles were playing the Giants. As he was driving his car just broke down on the side of the road. He had no idea what had happened his tank was close to full. He was hoping there would be another person going to drive by, but after 10 minutes of waiting no one had driven by. So then he called John but he did not answered his phone so he tried his wife's number, but she was away with a friend in Boston. Then he started to walk to get to his friend’s house.
