There are many stereotypes set from race to race. Personally when it comes to Mexican immigrants, I feel like they have it rough as far as being called worthless basically implying that they have no intelligence. According to Murillo and Villenas the New Latino Diapora are “areas without traditional Latino presence to which Latinos have increasing moved over the past 15 years (Wortham, 3).” For a better understanding there are areas that are not set to a specific race or ethnicity. According to the reading it is normally located in Pennsylvania and other parts of the world. But for the New Latino Diaspora, it offers flexibility for individuals and communities as they formulate sometimes-unexpected responses to Mexican immigration (Worthham, 5).” Although immigrants are not accepted in many places the Diaspora accepts them .I can say that immigrants are really good people because they do not take life for granted . This leads me into talking about how they are model minorities. This whole notion of “model minorities,” according to Wortham who are “hardworking contributors to the community who do not expect special treatment and do not complain (6).” By acting like this it could be a positive issue and a negative issue at the same time. I say this because by not saying anything and going about in life that meaning you would have a peaceful live, but at the same time you could have so many people walking all over you, then you then to lose your identity. Also, Wortham furthermore says that, “a model minority is ―the ̳good‘ minority that seeks advancement through quiet diligence in study and work and by not making waves; the minority that other American minorities should seek to emulate (6).” Now is this quote saying that Americans should be mote like the model minorities? To my understanding it is.When it comes to citizenship and legality I do believe that it plays a role in the New Latino Diaspora because just by being in the Diaspora, everyone
