Out of Body Experiences Out of Body Research Foundation noted Stephanie C Experiences on April 25/2016 “I remember drowning somehow (I think by a lake or river or something) and eventually knowing I had passed. All of a sudden I felt an out of body experience and like I was being lifted up through a vortex. A very intense vortex, it felt like I was going at least 100 mph. The scenery looked like bright light and like I was passing through a bunch of stars. The vortex eventually stopped however, and then my out of body experience occurred” (OBERF, 2016). . Out of body experiences are a process that focuses on the feeling of floating outside one’s body, and some cases, the feeling of perceiving one’s physical body as if from a place outside one’s body (Brugger & Mohr, 2009, p. 137). Out of body experiences may refer to astral projections or near death experiences. Astral projections refer to a person’s conscious detachment from one’s physical body that can travel or exist outside of the body, these individual who experience such phenomena often are aware of their surroundings and can hear what is being said around them (Slick, n.d.). In turn, near death experience refers to the possibility of detachment from one’s body, a feeling of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth and absolute dissolution and the presence of light; usually associated with death (McRae, 2014). These are indexes for the paranormal. Out of body experiences could happen to anyone, but many skeptics
I think i found my destination. Sheer magnitude of energy arose from my body. I felt unreal. Seriously. Have you ever stop and question your existence. Who am i and why am i here? Detachment and utter numbness of “reality”. This anomalous out-of-body experience rush must means this is the end me? “ Mike i have to go to the hospital i think i'm dying.” I said panicking at my inner experience. I was an onlooker of this universe - at least it seemed. “ Brenda please relax, youre not dying. and stop crying!” he said as he walked me to his car. “ come on, I am going to take you to my house.” . From this moment i knew this isn't what i wanted to
The story of Ghost Boy had shown the world a rare and peculiar case study known as “locked-in syndrome”. The victim’s body witnesses a complete body paralyze from any sort of movement. Martin Pistorius was the main character in the book Ghost boy. The story covered the life of a boy who was misdiagnosed as being locked in PVS (persistent vegetative state) for the majority of his young life. When in reality, he was just locked inside his own body. Although Martin was aware of his surroundings, he was unable to communicate due to total body paralyze. A personal caregiver of Martin’s was able to identify that he was aware of his surroundings by the movement of his eyes.
Sometimes, some people undergo an out of body experience spontaneously. On other occasions, this might be brought on due to mental and physical trauma, the use of psychedelic drugs or even when a body has slipped into a state of trance or coma.
The next few moments were a blur for me. I remember little until the Paramedics arrive. During my forgotten moments, Dad said he experienced an out of body moment. He told his story several times in the following days. As he crumbled, he felt a raw flame of pain sapping his chest.
The past decade has yielded a tremendous number of research focusing on the phenomenon known as Near Death Experiences (NDE). Greyson (2000a) described near-death experiences as:
We come face to face with the fact of death after reading this play. How will you respond? Some may be fearful or try to extend their lives just a few more years with things such as : exercise, eating right, avoiding the worldly functions, and even people that may draw them into a premature death. From a biblical perspective we have to face the fact that a person will spend eternity in one of two places without favoritism. The Bible is clear that it is know to man to die one time and after this we are to be judged. Scary? It does not have to be. All evangelicals agree that sin will cause an eternal separation from God while put under the attribute of His wrath for eternity. However, they also agree that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for all those who will repent and trust in Him for the forgiveness of sin. Not just good news but the best news a person could hold onto with hope to one day meet the one who paid their sin debt. Most believers would agree that spending eternity with God outweighs anything this world can offer. It is obvious that this is seen through the eyes of a born again believer of Jesus Christ who has at one time
According to Collins English Dictionary an our of body experience is defined as “a vivid feeling of being detached from one's body, usually involving observing it and its environment from nearby” Many include visions of passed loved ones in their accounts of their experience. But what is the reason we have these experiences? some argue that it is merely the lack of oxygen reaching your brain and your body going into shock. Others argue that it is proof of a God and/or the afterlife. Many come out of these experiences “reborn” and very religious, if they weren’t already. This in not the case for everyone, myself included, but why is that, if it is a religious omen, as is claimed by many? Only about 10% of the population has had an Out of Body
Finally, one of the most well-known parts of near death hallucinations is moving through a passage or tunnel toward a splendid light. Despite the fact that the particular reasons for this piece of near death experiences stay hazy, the exclusive focus can happen when blood and oxygen stream is exhausted to the eye, as can occur with the outrageous dread and oxygen loss that are both common to

It was an unusual feeling on such an ordinary day. I was about sixteen years old when it first happened, not knowing this experience would change my life forever. I sense a presence in the room while still trying to figure out if I was asleep or not. I had a long day and just a little nap was all that I needed to continue, but so much more was in store for me once I closed my eyes. I heard noises of little kids talking outside my house, sounded like they were playing jump rope or some sort of hand game. I try to open my eyes to see the little kids playing because it seemed like they were having such a good time. It seems very hard to open my eyes, but in my mind I feel like they’re open, but then again nothing is happening. I know I am extremely tired so I lay there and then my eye starts to tingle. I try to move my arm to rub my eye, but it
Johnson supports his argument that our understanding of meaning is debilitatingly limited without accounting for the embodied experience of the world by examining five ways that the body engages in it: biologically, ecologically, phenomenologically, socially and culturally. Positing that the body is actively intrinsic to all these areas of life, Johnson’s model reveals the ways that the body is ‘more than a lump of pulsating flesh” (275). parallels that I encountered in my personal experience as I made my own ‘conscious effort to change how my mind worked’ through meditation. I will summarize his five experiential ‘bodies’ and illustrate corresponding ways that the application of meditation in each context can be seen as influencing the mind-body mechanism in each case:
Most everyone’s aware of the phenomenon identified as an, “out-of-body experience.” I’m of the opinion they occur, but your agreement isn’t a requirement to enjoy this read. We’ll, in all probability, not discover definitive proof pro or con during our lives. Those who reveal personal experiences of this nature think they’ve had a genuine experience; to them there’s no doubt. I’ll not attempt to persuade you that a life altering event this significant is a gift from God. I trust it is and will assume this position from the start.
Paranormal Mystery: Can we really talk to the Dead? I see dead people!
The day of the dead is known as an extraordinary occasion every year to respect the dead, including gatherings, feasts, unique foods, melodies and parades. To add, in many societies this holiday brings the living and the dead together, for an awesome banquet, to recall the departed and to appease them for one more year. This love towards the spirits is an antiquated and widespread practice, and it proceeds in numerous parts of the world (Guiley, 1956).The Chinese, who glorify their ancestors, perform unique services in spring, summer and autumn to free mankind's two souls: incorporeal and corporeal. The incorporeal soul is requested to express unique thoughts towards the deceased relatives, and the corporeal soul is disheartened from rousing
A near death experience, or NDE, is a profound psychological event that may occur to a person who is close to death or who is not in a near death situation but in a situation of physical or emotional calamity. A near death experience is defined as “an unusual experience taking place on the brink of death”, defined by Google, but that is a misconception created because of the situations they occur in. Being in a life-threatening situation does not, by itself, cause a near-death experience. NDEs can occur across multiple occasions. For instance if you’re not getting enough oxygen you might faint and have a near death experience. An NDE can also be defined as an out of body experience, because of the similarities in the sensations of seeing yourself leave your own body. In a NDE the person, or as they call themselves
