The right to education is guaranteed legally for all without any discrimination. It is a right, not a privilege, but still about 61 million children are not in school, and most of those kids are girls. Educating children around the world is one of the biggest steps towards ending the huge poverty. The right to education is reflected in international law in Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Articles 13 and 14 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

In around the year 2010, almost 70 million children around the world are prevented from attending school.
