“Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something.”(the pursuit of happyness). The “Pursuit of Happyness” is a film, directed by Gabriele Muccino in 2006, that is based on a true story. Chris and Christopher Gardner, “Evicted from their apartment, [found] themselves alone with no place to go. Even though Chris eventually lands a job as an intern at a prestigious brokerage firm, the position pays no money. The pair must live in shelters and endure many hardships, but Chris refuses to give in to despair as he struggles to create a better life for himself and his son.” (wikipedia). In this film, the director targetes any individual who has ever endured hardships in their life or know someone who has ever prayed to have enough money to support themselves, because they can relate to this human struggle. This movie lets individuals know that eventually if they make continuous efforts life will improve and circumstances in life can be changed through an individual's free will. Through the main character, played by Will Smith, the director is able to utilize the fictional version of Chris Gardner’s persistence, emotional breaks, and way of thinking to relay the message of perseverance through to the audience.
