Introduction
In criminal justice, ethics and professional behaviors are important in guarding the criminal officers when making decisions of a particular crime. Ethics refers to the moral principles and the ability to judge and differentiate what is right from what is wrong. Every day, criminal justice administration is faced with various ethical issues and the officers within the department must deal with the ethical issues in a professional manner. The policing and criminal justice administration usually struggles with behaviors and ethics in certain areas that may be difficult to handle. However, the law enforcers within the criminal and policing department should use their professional practices in making a moral judgment of what is bad or right and this should be done through critical thinking (Leighton & Reiman, 2001). Good ethics contributes to the professional behavior. This paper will outline the relationship between professional behaviors and ethics in criminal justice. The paper will also analyze the importance of critical thinking about the relationship of ethics and professional behavior. Unethical acts by criminal justice are serious matters that can lead to unethical decisions resulting to conflicts within the criminal justice. For this reason, it is important for criminal justice officers to practice good moral behaviors and to make their decisions professionally, through critical thinking and analysis. If
