The Right Of Bear Arms

The right to bear arms is a birth given right to all Americans by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Second Amendment has become controversial recently due to the technological advancement of firearms. Modern firearms are capable of both high rates of fire and greater capacities of ammunition, unlike the single shot muskets that were available at the time of the Second Amendment’s conception. American liberals view these improvements in firearms as dangerous and unnecessary. However, no matter how dangerous firearms may be, the Second Amendment is a necessity for one factor alone: protection from one’s own government and it must be upheld. The Second Amendment provides a physical tool for Americans to defend themselves against a tyrannical government, it allows Americans to form militias against a tyrannical government, and it allows Americans to maintain comparable firearms of the U.S. government in order to prevent the potential loss of American freedoms in the future.

In December 1791, the Second Amendment was made: The Second Amendment offers “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep arms, and shall not be infringed.” This basically means United States gives the right to its residents to keep arms, and it guaranteed individuals the right to possess arms for their own personal defense. In the past few decades there been thousands of pages that are written seeking to uncover the meaning of the “the people,” and “bear arms,” have been strongly debated.

Ever since 1791, Americans have had the right to bare arms. Recently people have begun debating whether or not these rights should still apply and lawmakers have even been slowly taking them away. Our founding fathers were clear when they stated that these rights shall not be infringed.

The Right to Bear Arms was the second amendment put into place when creating the nation. It gives the people of our country the right to keep and own a gun. Today, just over two hundred years later, one of the biggest debates in society is on gun control and how the people should be handling their weapons. The gun control in the country is something that should be taken more seriously as lives and well beings are at stake.

America’s gift to my generation is our rights. One right in particular is the second amendment of the constitution “The Right To Bear Arms”. The second amendment of the bill of rights guarantees the right to own firearms and use them. The second amendment was approved 8 years after the revolutionary war.The second amendment was created December 15 1791. The ten amendments were created so they wouldn’t be put in a situation where they were controlled by a tyrannical government again, and to set the foundation for our newly founded government. The ten amendments were written in independence hall in Philadelphia. The second amendment isn’t just referring to the use of a weapon as a means of hunting but to protect you or many persons if needed.

Have you ever had a life threatening situation? I will prove having the right to Bear Arms can be a lifesaver. I use guns in my life when I hunt or if something were to happen I could protect my family. I use guns hunting like if we need more food because our money is tight i can use guns to go hunt and whatever game I get my family and I will eat it. Someone attacks my family i can also use a gun to shoot or scare the attackers off. Someone who attacks me when I am walking to my car on a late night i can also use them to protect myself. Altho people may use them to harm others there always more good than bad.

The right to keep and bear arms may be the single most controversial and contentious right listed in the constitution and this might be because the right was listed in 1791 and understanding what the founders and framers actually meant. Some people think that the Second Amendment is outdated and if the founders even had any idea of what kind of weaponry we would have today they would have included that the right to keep and bear arms should only be used in hunting and sportsman ship.

Being an American in the 21st century to me means giving up what my four fathers worked hard for. The Second Amendment give us Americans the right to bear arms. That amendment also allows us to defend ourselves from intruders. The right to bear arms is suddenly in question because of a single individual’s actions. Our right to possess weapons shouldn’t have to change because politicians have a different view.

Bang, the sound punches through the streets, the trees, the fields. The sound is unmistakable, so sharp and so loud, like a firecracker up close. This sound is a sound like no other and can not be taken back, it is the sound of a gun shot. From the beginning, our country has given the rights to its citizens to keep and bear arms. To protect their land and them selves from strangers who want to hurt them. But in todays society guns are becoming a “problem”. Almost every day some one has been shot and murdered. People want Washington to solve the “gun problem” in America but that is a very hard up hill battle. For the right to bear arms is in the constitution and no one can take that away.

Gun Control is robbing us of a human right. People are entitled to carrying and using guns wherever and whenever they want. Without guns, defenseless women have no way to protect themselves. Only leftists and hippies want gun control in our flawless country, and they’re ruining it for the rest of us gun-toting patriots. In A.W.R. Hawkins’ article “Gun Control: The Ultimate Human Rights Violation,” Hawkins makes a solid stand against gun control, and states that it “actually steals part of our humanity.”

The right to bear arms across all states by citizens trained in the handling of such weapons would produce a superior nation, where protection and security would become a mere hands’ length away. Guns provide necessary protection against those who wish to harm others. For instance, imagine a shooting, where citizens have the power to protect both themselves and others from the assaulter with several precise shots, thus saving countless lives that would otherwise be lost. In the same situation, this time with defenseless citizens, the shooter freely kills the innocent, knowing that they have no means to oppose him, such as happened in San Bernardino and in France. Taking away the right to bear arms infringes the natural rights given to Americans
