As we look around we can see that society has evolved tremendously from what it was a centuries ago.Change has always seemed to be the human beings way of life. We strive to find something different and more effective. However, everything that we have sought out to make different and effective has only become harmful and destructive. As time goes by change is almost inevitable among a nation. Change has occurred throughout history due to specific events that have a ripple effect upon individuals. Whether the change is a result of advancing technology, improving health, or an environmental there is little chance of altering the effect it has on society.
Firstly, we are now living in an era where one little mistake and we considerably regret it for the rest of our lives. Social media used to be a platform where people use to connect to there families. Now it has become a breeding ground for cyber bullies. Innocent pictures people post are now being turned into memes and is becoming the bullet that takes the lives of so many children and adults. The fast pace evolution of technology is also creating more and more loners and obese people. Why go outside with my friends and play ball or even walk to my friends house to chill, when I can just sit in my room all day and watch television, play game, watch movie and

The invention of cars, buses, airplanes and there counterparts are slowly depleting the ozone layer and making the world an even more hotter place. And what's so funny is that the carbon monoxide that cars release into the air is not only burning a hole in the ozone, but if inhaled by humans can lead to complications in our health, even death. We use all kind of pesticides and other harmful chemicals that slowly kill the plants and even some animals. Factories dump there toxic waste into the ocean and kill the animals of the sea, making it impossible for us to eat them and also giving some people serious health
Throughout history; more specifically throughout different generations, we as human beings have been subject to a certain amount of change within our society. As time goes by change is almost inevitable among a nation. Change has occurred throughout history due to specific events that have a ripple effect upon individuals. Whether the change is a result of advancing technology, social climate, or foreign influence there is little chance of preventing the effect it will have on society. It is difficult to argue that we have not seen a paradigm shift in social attitudes from generation to
Pollution has become a heated issue in recent years. The destruction of the environment along with serious health problems are the eventual effects. The extensive use and availability of automobiles, tremendous amounts of production in the booming economy and the constant increase in demand for energy, can be held responsible.
Even if all countries in the world contribute to the air pollution, the developed countries take the leading role on releasing carbon monoxide in the air. This toxic air increases risk of the ozone layer depletion, which potentially would expose UVB radiation at the earth. This UVB radiation has negative consequences on humans, animals, plants and other planetary creatures. In addition to UVB radiation the polluted air by itself can cause serious health problems for humankind. Moreover, this process would cause the earth to become warmer which consequence of global warming. Industries and transportation takes the first place for the source of emissions of air
Looking in the mirror and seeing our self-grow, and change is surprising. Whenever we stop for a minute and think about our life everything is different. Not only you and I changed; the place we live in changed too. Anyone can tell that American society is changing from day to day. Changes usually don’t come fast, even though we are impatient to wait. America’s society changed day by day, time by time, and year by year.
Every individual is in constant exposure to all sorts of different types of technology. This continuous display then creates a major decline in all social interaction. People are content with their lives and remain unaware of what’s really going on in the world around them. In modern day society this can also be seen. With technology becoming more and more part of people’s daily lives, it has become more evident that we are drifting apart from each other. Communication is now being done through the use of social media instead of talking face to face. All through the day the average person is using such devices as phones, computers, and TVs during their free time and also when working. Activities such as writing letters along with the use of things like newspapers are slowly being replaced with the use of newer technology. Even books are starting to be a way of the past just like in the
Since the beginning of time, the human race has changed in a variety of ways. In theTimes Magazine articles, The War of Delicious; Alzheimer's from a New Angle; The United States of Insdvency; Why You Shouldn't be Allowed to Drive; and Encounters with the Archgenius, all discuss how humanity is changing. In analyzing these articles it becomes quite clear that humanity is changing drastically and quickly because we are becoming blind to the world around us. We are not sure on what is in our food or how it is made, the technology we have today is becoming more and more powerful and is taking over our real life relationships with other people, the medicine that we have been discovering is curing more diseases than we could have even imagined
Robin Sharma once said “Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.” In “Rivers and Tides” Andy Goldsworthy built a stick statue. When the tide started rising the statue was hard to move, then as the tide got higher the sticks started to float away in a messy manner. At the end of the process the top of the statue floated off all together in a gorgeous manner. Likewise change in society today can be good or bad depending on the conditions,
It is change, continuing change, inevitable change that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be. These are the words of science fiction writer Isaac Asimov
The reality of change is a scary but a necessary situation during life. It brings people together through hard times, like hurricane Katrina. It could tear a society apart as it did to the Roman Empire when it fell into the wrong hands of a blood thirsty dictator. Changes could be harmless, in the sense that human life didn’t die because of it, like East Africa transitioning from a jungle to a grassland. Changes sometimes go unnoticed, like the sky changing from sunny to partly cloudy. Throughout all these different kinds of changes, people react in different ways and may make hard, indecisive decisions on how to solve or deal with the problem or issues. Change effects humans differently throughout time or in a matter of an over night experience,
In 1988, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration had conclusive proof products adding to the output of carbon dioxide and methane gases in the atmosphere were causing the earth to warm; and, if not stopped will make it inhabitable for human life. In the 1970’s the United States had conclusive proof that products releasing Chlorofluorocarbons into the atmosphere were causing the ozone layer to deplete; and, that if continued would be dangerous for human life. The United States took international global action, by joining the Montreal Protocol, to phase out the products producing chlorofluorocarbon and the ozone layer has been successfully replenished .
Air pollution are impacting the environment, and it is imperative that laws are enforced to help build and sustain a better air quality. Air pollutants can be in the form of particulate matter which can be very harmful to our health. Stimulation to our eyes, nose, throat, and breathing infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia are all short-term effects. You’re head might hurt, you might want to puke, and you might have allergic reactions. Short-term air pollution can put people with asthma and emphysema in a worse condition. Long lasting breathing disease, lung cancer, heart disease, and even damage to your brains, nerves, livers, or kidneys are all long-term effects. If you’re exposed to air pollution continuously, it would affect children’s lungs and may complicate medical conditions for the elders. Some people argue and deny the bad air problem. They claim that pollution may actually be good for the Earth. The hazy weather caused by pollution has made plants far more productive when it comes to scrubbing greenhouse gasses out of the air. Pollution has turned plants into better carbon dioxide processing machines. But this is bad for our own health. Pollution is causing global warming which leads to massive ice land melting. Polar bears and other animals that live there are losing there habitats and even dying. Melting ice could also lead to more sea water which would bury some cities or land near the coastal areas. There is already a tremendous amount of people on this planet. If our land decreases, and our population continues to increase, some people would have to start living on another planet; therefore, making it a priority to address the areas
Humans are a species that superficially welcome change, yet regress to antiquated ideals. They look back to our ancestors to learn, to develop discernment from their mistakes. Simultaneously, society rejects some ideas and implements others. The first form of democracy was effectuated during the Athenian era. The display of a woman’s body was not shamed, Greeks displayed pornographic art in buildings to fit their aesthetic ideal. This was the antithesis in the 50’s, however, today we have magazine covers with half-naked women in just about every grocery store. Change can only have one of two effects, either positive or negative, but we will continue to look to our past for a part of the answer.
Many people in our society can relate. We wake up, check our phones. We go to school, check our phones. We go home, check our phones. And right before we go to bed, we check our phones. And for what? What are we constantly checking? Imagine logging out of social networking sites for one day. How would you feel? You would probably feel disconnected and want to log back on as soon as possible. This generation uses these websites to connect, to stay in the loop, and to become involved. However, people will take advantage of the use of these websites, and in return, the websites take over the majority of their life. The act of constantly wanting to be
Change, without a doubt, is ongoing constantly on a Global scale throughout Society. The great need for and the urgency of coming to understand this phenomenon is becoming increasingly obvious. Religion and philosophy have, since the dawn of civilization, sought to direct the Change in a way that would be beneficial to mankind as a whole. They have failed to make any significant change in the way Society is progressing.
Greenhouse gases come from such mainstays of modern life as electrical power plants, automobiles, and heavy industry. Growing consumption of fuel by less efficient cars and light trucks suggests that motor vehicles may soon overtake industry as the largest source of gases suspected of causing global warming by effectively creating a greenhouse around the Earth. Many people do not want to decrease their standard of living by reducing their consumption of fossil fuels. These people do not realize that if they reduce their consumption, there will be a reduction in the amount of greenhouse gases. If this does not happen and global warming continues, the long-term effects may be catastrophic.
