The Road Not Taken Response

Satisfactory Essays

1. The poem “The Road Not Taken” is about more than choosing a path, it is about choosing the path which you want. Despite the authors contradiction in the second stanza by claiming that one path was “grassy and wanted wear” compared to the other, both paths are equal. This is confirmed in the next two lines where it states “had worn them really about the same” which simply meant that both paths were equally used and both bore a claim as well as the other. The idea behind the poem was that the person choosing the path chose the one which they wanted regardless of what other people chose. 2. The theme of this poem is that people should do what they want in order to be happy in life. 3. “Learning to Drive” can easily fit the theme of the poem
