This paper gives a clear understanding on the current state of art on the IoT. The primary idea of the IoT concept is the pervasive existence around us of a wide range of things such as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, actuators, sensors, mobile phones, etc. These are able to communicate with each other and collaborate with their neighbors to reach collective goals through distinctive addressing scheme.

In order to solve the issue, Amazon web service has brought Internet of things technology (IoT) to secure the connections of personal computers in the home and improve the crop development for the users. The technology can be useful for office security to prevent a loss that is caused by hacking as well as attacks in the network (Amazon Web Services, Inc. 2016).

We plan to split the total infrastructure system into 4 layers to receive context supported e-services out of raw data from the internet of things as shown in fig. 1. These 4 layers establish a generic framework that does not alter the current network infrastructure but create an interfacing among services

The world is getting smarter and better and so are the devices. With the improved technology, we can check our mails on our watch; control our home temperature through our smartphone and much more. The term Internet of Things is referred to any object or device which connects to the Internet to automatically send and/or receive data [1].

Section 3 will show many different examples about how many different businesses are using the Internet of Things to improve their business and provide the specifics in which they are using the devices. An example of a company that will be used in this section is Tesla. Tesla uses the Internet of Things to have their vehicles drive by themselves automatically. Tesla has many other examples of using the Internet of Things to help their business and the rest of them will be covered in that section. This section goes in depth to five different companies and explain how they have used the Internet of Things to their advantage. The five companies mentioned are Tesla, IBM, SAP, Facebook, and Comcast. Facebook has been looking into making a couple of new devices that could rival companies such as Amazon and Google with the way they plan on implementing the Internet of Things. As a business manager it is important to understand the growth of IoT’s, because utilizing an IoT in your business can provide you with information to carry what products customers are looking to purchase. This would enable a manager to stay ahead of the competition and make more sales, by only ordering what your customers are going to buy. The IoT could help a manager make more successful business decisions.
