For instance, internalized comes from a person cultural values. Internalized control focus more on society. Externalized control is based on how a person should behave as a leader. Externalized control is based on social control. For example, Billy is a police officer; Billy is expect to behavior in an appropriate way since he is a police officer. Guidance and discipline is based on a person culture. Discipline means to be punished for something you’ve done. Let’s say that Billy is misbehaving in class; instead of his mom punishing him she decided to have a discussing about why he was misbehaving. Caregivers and parent use both guidance and discipline. A caregivers may take away a child play-time in order to discipline the child.
