For soccer players, the cause of their injured are running and kicking the ball all over the field and sometimes twist their ankle while running. When I was 11, I joined a youth soccer league thinking that it was going to be the easiest sport i ever played. I soon came to realize that this was not the case. Soccer was more challenging than I thought. So that 's why i Quit and played Baseball. I think I made the right decision.
Throughout the states, questions and doubts about players safety have arisen. Despite the worries, statistics show the amount of injuries are not abundant enough to call out football as “Too Dangerous”. According to the study, published in the August 2007 issue of The American Journal of Sports Medicine, four out of every 1,000 high school football exposures resulted in an injury. The most common injuries were knee and or ankle related, stating also how the position in which most of these injuries occur were to running backs and to linebackers. “While football does have a high rate of injuries, injuries don’t have to be just part of the game,” said Christy Collins, MA, research associate in CIRP at Children’s Hospital and co-author of the study. “There are ways to reduce the number and severity of football injuries

First, is the education of the patient, if the athlete is willing to report and communicate the problem to the appropriate personnel at the moment and time when it happens, the medical staff will be on the ability of removing the athlete from participation if it is necessary. In addition of educating the athletes, it will be vital to focus on the education of coaches, and parents over the consequences of this injury, the responses of the athlete during the injury, importance of reporting this to the medical personnel (Athletic trainer), and acceptance of the injury. By increasing the awareness of the injury, the medical staff will be more accurate, precise, and the time of recovery will be lower since the athlete will report it in a shorter period of time.

In the article “Percentage of Kids Who Are Injured in Football” by Michelle Kulas she says “In 2013, USA Football released preliminary findings after the first year of a multi-year study. They note that fewer than 10 percent of youth football players incur an injury, and of those injuries, 64 percent are considered minor injuries.” 10 percent of the youth get injured every year, that's a huge number for children. Next, football players have a high risk to get injured. Tackling can be very dangerous in soccer especially because soccer players have only shin guards to protect them. When soccer players hit the ground or another player with no protection (except shin guards) the chances of getting injured are high. One reason why players get injured because of tackling is when there is mismatched skill and the better soccer player is getting cut down by the worse player. Another reason why soccer players get injured because of tackling is when unskilled and inexperienced players try to tackle. The three most common places where people get injured is in the ankle, knee, and
Most people think that concussions are the main injury caused in football, but in reality lower limb injuries are. “Ligament sprains are the most common injury reported, accounting for more than 30 percent of all injuries”(NCAA 1). This quote talks about how ligament sprains are actually the most common injury in football. This also shows that concussions are not the main injury in football. Actually concussions are one of the lowest injury percentages than any other body part. The percentage of this injury is actually around 7% which is the second lowest comparing to head, face, and neck injuries which goes to about 4%. It’s pretty fascinating to see that these injuries that are more commonly talked about, are the ones that are the lowest percent. This quote “Surgery resulted from 7.5 percent of injuries”(NCAA 1) also shows that it’s not as dangerous as people think it is. Showing that there is a little amount of people who get taken into surgery for their injuries. This is important to know because this number is statistic that people cannot argue against. People can say whatever they want about how dangerous the sport is, but this number can be shown to them and it will make them take back what they said. The second most caused injury to football players is upper limb injuries. This includes arms, chest, and shoulders. These injuries are also sought after to be one of the more well known
Many people that play sports get into some type of injury, the majority of injuries sustained in sports are usually head related. Football has about 118,886 injuries, basketball with 119,589 injuries, and rugby with 1,214 injuries between the years of 2002-20014 and has continued to skyrocket. There are difference between head injuries in football than when playing other sports. These differences can be from minor, moderate, to sever. Football is more on the sever side because of the impact and number of hits they are taking. On the other hand sports like basketball, soccer, and tennis are not as of aggressive as football. And this is due to the lack of contact in the sports. These sports are very strict about the contact when playing in a game, they are charged with a penalty or flagged if a player makes the slightest contact with another player. Therefore you would rarely see a head injury let alone a sever head injury when playing those kind of sports. With football being more aggressive and more contact, the head injuries can lead to a player being hospitalized, and depending on the impact on the blow can lead to death.

Professional athletes are more prone to get injured than a lot of other professions. “He was on his way to a record shattering career until taking a hit from Kevin Walker that popped his hip out of place during a playoff game in ‘90. Because of this hit, Bo had to get hip replacement surgery and wasn’t able to return to football” (Diaz). Bo Jackson took one hard hit in football and could not play ever again, and his life would forever be changed after a hip replacement surgery. Athletes never know when they are going to get
