Having an Associate in HIT and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration helped me gain a management position in HIM. Management oversees health information systems to ensure that they meet medical, legal and ethical standards. As a management professional (HIM), we are the experts on patient data that doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers rely on to perform their jobs. I may my education and experience to manage databases and generate and analyze reports along the side of the HIT coders.

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) offered by Berry College will differentiate my skill sets from other sports medicine professionals. As a certified athletic trainer, I will be licensed to practice in multiple settings and states as an allied healthcare provider. However, achieving that licensure is a short term goal. As a healthcare professional, I intend to advance my career by working in the administrative aspect of medicine. After my completion at Dorsey I would like to further my career at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center. I feel as though I will be the perfect fit to complement the requirements to be a Medical Assistant at St. Josephs. As well the St. Joseph's founders helping hands reminds me of my past and those who helped me. Therefore St. Josephs history shows me that being a Medical Assistant is more than what it seems and is a passion that I hope to follow at St. Joseph.

I have an option to take a clinical or corporate approach in healthcare once I complete the program. I was informed that some of the professors that I will get to work with are currently working in Clinical Health Informatics positions. Learning that these professors work in the field outside of teaching reinsured me that Georgia State is providing me with best the instructors and tools to obtain my degree and excelling in my career. I have had the opportunity to learn more about the importance and high demand for Clinical Health Informatics in the health field. Furthermore, how successful and impactful Clinical Health Informatics has been to building, analyzing, and evaluating information and communicating systems that enhance individual and population health outcomes.

Most importantly, the interprofessional education at RFUMS can provide me a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system. I believe can better serve my patients with the knowledge of other healthcare-related careers.

I toured numerous homes, sat at many closing tables, listened to a copious amount of real estate related phone calls all by the age of 6-years-old. I was born into a family of entrepreneurs who taught great work ethic, public speaking skills, and an overall understanding of the real estate industry.   At 6-years-old I aspired to become the youngest realtor and Colorado. At the age of 18 I attended American Real Estate College to obtain my real estate license and my work ethic allowed me to pass my realtors exam with flying colors.

This is my first semester at SNHU in the Masters in ITwith concentration in Healthcare Informatics. I have a MS in Applied Gerontology.I have had the opportunity to interact,get to know and helped a lot of great people while on volunteer training at Northside Hospital. This interaction not only helped them but helped me as well, It really made me realize,that no matter what age we are, everyone strives and wishes to live happily. This simple interaction on my part has made me to be more driven in completing what I have set out to accomplish with my career. Wearables can act as shields, as armor, as talismans of protection, attractors of luck, symbols of status and belief. Wearables- a pace of jewelry, a handbag, a coat, a pair of shoes, or a head covering- were used traditionally as forms of protection, convenience or decoration, but have come to mean much more. Our choices of body covering and decoration conveys certain messages to the world, we can hide behind and in what we wear, we imbue the religious symbols around our necks with special abilities. Some, like me, feel naked and vulnerable without the presence of certain pieces of jewelry at their necks and fingers, or without a bag or pouch of some sort
