As long as evil is present in the world, the human race will need a savior. This person has to demonstrate courage, strength, honor, and reflect the values of their society. This person I am describing is a hero. They often are recognized as a hero after combatting some tough circumstance or battling some giant monster. But who was that person before the fight ? And who were they after all the chaos had calmed? Beowulf portrays the true characteristics of a hero not only before the fight, and during the fight, but after; just like my father did. Heros are more than just the battle they are in. They continually demonstrate courage, strength, honor, and reflect the values of their society. BODY: My mother and father were married for 17 years. I was so blessed to see the two of them fall deeper in love, and build a fruitful life. I never doubted for a moment that my mom was the person he was meant to spend the rest of his life with. Like a Beowulf, my Dad reflected the highest quality of values. In Beowulf, before he battled Grendel, everyone knew beowulf to be a highly respected man. Just like my dad before he dealt with the tragedy of my mother. He has always been such a hard worker, and giving person. My father was compassionate, and caring towards us all. It’s nothing like the mead hall, but it’s something that everyone appreciates. My mom dedicates her life as a nurse in different doctor's offices. She helps with baby's, adults having trouble expanding their family, and she also helps the elderly, the same elderly who served our country long ago.
