Adam: The Truth of The Fall The year is 2016. I met Adam at Target while shopping for new shoes. We exchanged contact information after I asked him if I could interview him for a local news channel. After keeping in touch with him for several days, we agreed to meet at a Starbucks in North Park. I intended on asking him questions on the Garden of Eden and his experiences with God.
Q: Hello Adam, how are you today? A: Good morning Corbitt, I am doing fine thank you Q: How was your trip to San Diego? A: It was excellent. The plane ride was a little long though and was very crowded. It is a lot different being around so many people instead of just Eve. Q: Speaking of Eve, how is she? A: She is doing well. She is kind of upset though because she believes that she got us kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Q: Well, that ended up being for the greater good of humanity. When you were first expelled from the garden, were you mad at her? A: Not at all Q: Why not? A: I know that she didn’t really know what she was doing. She was seduced by the serpent and couldn’t do anything about it. Q: When she first ate the fruit and then gave you some to eat, why did you accept it? A: I accepted it because I trusted her. Also it kind of looked like a fruit that would grow in the garden, so I didn’t entirely know it was the forbidden fruit. Q: When God expelled you from the garden, were you upset with God? While many obstacles get in the way of friendship, true friendship still lives, even in silence. In the book, The Chosen , By Chaim Potok, two boys, Reuven Malter and Danny Saunders, who are very religiously different and both raised in completely opposite ways, develops a deep friendship. Their friendship opens up their worldview to many other different viewpoints in life. The friendship between these two boys is one with great religious significance, starting off with destiny and Gods will. A fallacy is defined as a kind of error in reasoning. They can be persuasive and be created both unintentionally and intentionally in order to deceive others from the truth. Fallacies often indicate a false belief or cause of a false belief (dowden, 2006). An argument or situation commits a fallacy when the reasons offered do not support the conclusion. This defeats the purpose of the argument since its point is to give reason to support the conclusion. Fallacies affect the outcome of our everyday decision making process. There are three types of logical fallacies discussed in this paper along with the importance of utilizing critical thinking skills.
Legends of the Fall is an excellent story of brotherhood, loss, and life. Originally Legends of the Fall was a story written by Jim Harrison, but later was adapted into a film. The story tells of three brothers named: Alfred, Tristan, and Samuel, who lived their lives on a plantation in Montana and then decided to go to war once the youngest brother was of age. Samuel, the youngest brother seemed to be favored by the family; and the older brothers only want to go to war to protect him. Eventually tragedy strikes and young Samuel is killed by machine guns due to his blindness from mustard gas. Tristan (the middle brother) took Samuel’s death especially hard and many other characters thought he had become completely mad. Once Tristan and
three logical fallacies that are used in this paper are Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, Far-Fetched Hypothesis, and False Dilemma. What is a fallacy? A fallacy is viewed as an error in reasoning. To be more exact, a fallacy is an "argument" in which the premises given for the conclusion do not provide the needed degree of support. A logical fallacy is an error in logical argument which is independent of the truth of the premises. When there is a fallacy in an argument it is said to be invalid. The presence of a logical fallacy in an argument does not necessarily imply anything about the argument's premises or its conclusion. Both may actually be true, but the argument is still invalid because the conclusion does not follow.
She feigned memory loss, and those gathered were sure that her mother had bewitched her. She was questioned by a priest the next day, and was even made to kiss a holy cross, which, amazingly enough, she was able to do after praying to her dark lord. Lucifer watched with great enjoyment as she wore herself out trying to reach the apple. Smiling, he stood up and effortlessly grabbed the apple, taking a big crunch out of the red fruit. Some of the apples delicious juice dribbled onto his chin, dripping into the grass. Victoria frowned.
In “They’re not your husband”, Earl told his wife “I think you’d better consider going on a diet. I mean it. I’m serious you could stand to lose a few pounds” (Carver 2). This example clearly showed the comments from the businessmen impacted Earl in wanting his wife Doreen to look a certain way and fit in with society.
The Great The Corruptness of the American Dream The nineteen twenties was a decade of renaissance characterized by the American Dream- the widespread aspiration of Americans to live better than their parents. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, contains themes that continue to be relevant today. In his novel, Fitzgerald reprehends the American dream by describing its characteristics: the pseudo-relationship between money and happiness, the superficiality of the rich, and the class strife between the rich and the poor. “The American Dream is that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement” (Mailer 97).
Currently, the Presidency of the United States is coming close to the final and whoever gets elected president is an accomplished liar. Both of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are using the political skills to argue because their major party candidates for president have to appear to be fully qualified to occupy the Oval Office. After watching of these videos of both Hillary and Trump’s speech, in my opinion, I analyze three types of informal fallacies from their speeches such as argument against the person, hasty generalization, and appeal to people; especially, appeal to vanity.

Our faces seem to become more beautiful, or least his face does. he tells me that my face does the same, I don't quite know whether or not I should quite believe him. I want to, I will learn to make myself believe him. He's done me no wrong so far.
As we look back in history we can see many beginnings, but the beginning referred to in this verse is a beginning that defies understanding to the extreme. We see one of the most amazing creations in this world in a newly born child, yet that creation pails in comparison to that of the creation on the world. Look around you and imagine nothing. That’s the way in was before the Lord gave us the first of many gifts that have been bestowed upon the human race.
