Some are so passionate about helping individuals they decide to make a career out of it. Social work is one of the most renowned occupations when it comes to helping people. The path to becoming a social worker is very difficult, in both getting a degree and choosing an occupation.

Child, family, and school social work is one field a graduate may choose to enter (What Can). They provide therapy, intervention and rehabilitation for substance abusers and the mentally ill (What Can). Out of all the different entry-level social work positions, this profession is estimated to have the largest percent increase in employment. It is projected that from 2008 to 2018 there will be a 22 percent increase in employment, equaling 31,000 new employees (Social Workers). Individuals who are involved in this career are making an annual median salary of 46,650 dollars (Social Workers).
