Introduction to Sport

The first sport I was first introduced to was when I was seven years old, that sport was football. My family has always had a passion for football, every Sunday we would all sit down and watch all the games together. My mom’s favorite football team is the Patriots, and my dad is kind of a band wagoner. He used to like the Raiders but was too tired of loosing every week so he chose the Seahawks for this previous season. I fell in love with football the first game I saw, the big men crashing into each other and the running backs were the fastest runners I had ever seen. My parents would try to force me to do sports and I never had any interest in doing them. All my life and growing up I haven’t been the most active person I think that is why I never did any sports that were big team sports, or sports that had a lot of running. So the first sport I actually played was golf. I was seven years old and took lessons every week and eventually became very good. I stopped playing for about four years and took up cheerleading I kind of lost interest in golf so I stopped playing. I did cheer for four years, and I loved it. I was never really good at the tumbling part of cheer, so I eventually stopped doing it. I took tumbling lessons and tried my hardest, but it just wasn’t working out for me. That was right before middle school was starting, and there were no more teams for me to join anyways. That is when my love for golf had snuck its self back into my life. I started practicing almost everyday and found a new pro to take lessons from. I played at my high school El Dorado and was on the varsity team.
